• "Really lovely character cottage in fabulous location, really peaceful rural area but still very easy to get to with loads of nearby places of interest to visit."

  We have been staying in cottages all over the UK for many years now and we all agreed this was by far our favourite so far, what a lovely place. Also really enjoyed the great country walks available straight from the front door. Cottage had loads of space for six of us and was very clean and well equipped. Wifi and TV could be a bit hit and miss occasionally - but in fact that was actually no real problem at all for us as we enjoy trying to switch off from such things on holiday these days and enjoy more quality family time, so all great!

• "Have just had a fabulous weekend away with friends at this wonderful property."

  The location is ideal for exploring the Cotswolds and surrounding area with plenty of good walks, and is set in a peaceful and quiet country lane. Is within easy reach of Broadway and Chipping Campden with an array of shops, pubs and restaurants. If we had a criticism, and it is only minor, as a previous reviewer we thought the check in time of 6pm was slightly late and difficult to aim for following a 3 hour drive. Most properties are normally 4pm check in.

  Internet was problematic (not just because rural) but company refused to deal with the fault, mattresses could do with a refresh and some of the kitchenware is showing it's age.

• "We returned to the cottage after eight years because we loved the house and the beautiful surroundings."

  The only thing that we did not like that much - the outdoor furniture - has been renewed und was very comfortable now. The house has everything for a summer holiday in the cotswolds including the character. The kitchen was fully stocked - everything worked. We really liked the place. There are tons of information in the house about the area, maps and leaflets you cannot work through during the holiday. There are only two things that might be considered about: we would have loved to have a possibility to charge our EV, which was explained in the booklet with planning difficulties. And the second thing was the limitation of data volume of the WiFi. Everything else was absolutely perfect and if we are planning another holiday in the Cotswolds we will definitely come back.

• "Orchard Cottage is a delightfully located and maintained holiday home - in fact one of the best ever holiday homes we have enjoyed staying in over the years."

  It is fully equipped with everything you could need, and well stocked with BOOKS! including guide books of all the parts of the Cotswolds. The grounds are immaculately maintained and the air of peace so beautiful - especially when (to our surprise) the clock on the local church opposite occasionally chimed. Well Done on such a lovely holiday home - we were truly delighted with our stay there.

• "This home is in a perfect setting opposite an ancient church in a quiet hamlet, near to wonderful Broadway."

  The garden is a delight especially with the blossom out at this time of year, and roses later. Inside it is very well equipped and comfortable. Appreciated the WiFi upgrade from 3 years ago for radio listening in the back bedroom. We had a relaxing family time and enjoyed many walks into the woods and over to Broadway.

• "The cottage was excellent."

  It would have been helpful to have gained access earlier than 6pm as having driven a long way arriving at dusk and waiting for access was a nuisance. We understand that cleaning for a changeover may now take longer but it would be helpful if there was a mechanism by which the cleaners could issue an 'all clear' to the agents which in turn could be reported to the client if requested. Of course this would mean more work for the agents but would be most helpful to the clients.

  Thank you for your feedback. The reason for late check in and check out is due to the extra cleaning needed to ensure each property is COVID safe. We hope to change back to our original times in the new year. We do try our best to let guests in early, but this cannot be decided until the day of check-in. • "Our second visit to Orchard Cottage and as before it’s spacious, well equipped, comfortable and a stunning location."

  Very handy to get to Broadway, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bourton-on-the-Water, etc. My parents are keen gardeners and felt that the grounds of the cottage were in need of more TLC than they’re currently getting (weeding, trimming the roses, etc) but even as-is they’re a lovely attribute of the property and will delight most. No issues at all inside the cottage - we found everything we could’ve needed, had more space than we knew what to do with and had a very comfortable stay. The new sofas are a credit to the place too. Suffice to say we would recommend Orchard Cottage to anybody wanting a lovely spacious property in a quiet location.

• "The photos of the listing don not do justice to how pretty, spacious and the excellent condition of Orchard Cottage."

  There were six of us and we never felt crowded and it was very nice to see that there was enough couch space for everyone. The owner had thought of everything and had all the kitchen utensils and pots and plates we would ever need. If I had to pick two things that could be improved it would be the amount of toilet paper and the hand soap available, it was not enough for 6 people for 5 days.

• "Orchard Cottage became our home away from home."

  Our extended stay over winter due to lockdown could not have been more comfortable than at Orchard Cottage. A beautiful village with the village church across the road to look at all day and the vast garden to enjoy privately at the back. Catching the sun on the patio whilst watching the pheasants, squirrels and finches to pass the time, whilst utilizing the well equipped kitchen to bake bread. As we were also working during lockdown having a separate lounge and dining area with all the comforts of home to relax and space to work with regular walks between villages and access to the Cotswold Way Walks it was a perfect combination. As our stay was an unusual extended period of time our hosts were always making sure our comforts were met and we would like to thank them both. Although everything was closed and social distancing was in place the village welcomed us and we are most grateful to this lovely community.

• "This is one of the most comfortable and well equipped holiday rentals we have ever stayed in."

  Furthermore the location is excellent - off a very quiet no-through road yet a short drive (or longer walk) from Broadway. Decent hilly walks from the doorstep, a perfect garden for kids and various animals to say hello to. All in all a brilliant place, and no doubt even better when the covid situation eases and nearby amenities can be fully enjoyed.

• "In terms of kerb-appeal Orchard Cottage is a definite "WOW" - situated in a lovely little village near the end of what is effectively a cul-de-sac the location is fantastic and the property itself a stunner."

  As a first impression it doesn't get much better. Inside it's spacious and well equipped throughout; easily one of the best we've stayed in over the last few years. It was clean upon arrival, sports 2 full bathrooms upstairs plus a separate WC downstairs, and all 3 bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Often in properties such as this the 3rd (twin) bedroom is barely a box room but not in this case, it's large and comfortable with two decent quality single beds. A good size well-equipped kitchen and dining room are complimented by the large living room and seating areas. A good size TV and reasonably fast WiFi. Nearby are several public footpaths so you can get out to stretch your legs and, a bonus for us at least, numerous Geocaches to find. A short stroll up the lane around to the left reveals a home owner selling veg and free range eggs - lovely! The area is lovely with lots of towns and villages to explore, and I would particularly recommend Adam Henson's Cotswold Farm Park near Guiting Power and the Cotswold Motoring Museum in Bourton-on-the-Water. We rarely stay in the same place twice as we like to explore different areas in time we go away but Orchard Cottage may just be the exception to this rule!

• "The cottage was excellent."

  Everything was clean and the cottage equipped with everything you could need. Only one minor fault we discovered with a broken fridge container lid. The crockery, pots and utensils were numerous, the property very clean. There were several seating areas in the cottage and the gardens superb. Many walks direct from the cottage. We would stay again.

• "Even though this is only a 3 bedroom cottage, it is hugely spacious with plenty of room for everyone."

  It is very warm and well equipped. The description does seem to indicate a real fire but it is in fact gas. Beautiful location. We had a fantastic stay here and would absolutely come back.

  The house is on a quiet cul-de-sac so was very peaceful. The garden surrounds the house and has plenty of seating areas to enjoy the sunshine and the views. The cottage is spotless, bright and airy. We felt at home straight away. There are public footpaths for walking without having to cross busy roads.

• "A lovely cottage in a great village."

  Very peaceful and a typical "Cotswolds" appearance. The Cottage is well equipped and has everything you need. The location is excellent, close to Broadway for shops and restaurants but also walks direct from the door so that you can leave the car behind if you want. Although it was a bit chilly for using the garden it did look nice and there are lots of seating areas. The Buckland Manor Hotel is 2 minutes away if you want a fabulous meal or afternoon tea. We would definitely return.

• "This was a birthday treat for a 74 year old and a perfect choice."

  The location is peaceful with walks and easy drives to visit national trust properties, local attractions or just to browse and shop! Wonderful for grandchildren as the sheep were a big bonus(despite the rain when they visited) one of them now wants to be a farmer. The cottage is very well stocked in the kitchen and the owners should be congratulated for providing enough so we did not need to wash up after each meal, generous amounts of cups plates and cutlery etc. An amazing assortment of books on the shelves to sit and read if you wanted to be lazy. There are benches scattered around the garden so we were able to chase the sun. All in all I am very pleased that I picked Orchard Cottage for our week in the Cotswold.
