"The comfort score is based on the poor quality mattress which resulted in not being able to sleep for two nights."
You could feel every lump and bump of the coils. It really took away from the experience. Everything else was lovely.
Hello, thank you for your review. Your review was received today, we have taken notice, and we can confirm new mattress is arriving tomorrow. Unfortunately mattresses are always a personal preference, and though we try we can’t always please everybody sadly. So fingers crossed this one will be ok! Property Owner

"Absolutely amazing experience staying at the Happy Valley Pod!"
Came for our anniversary for a getaway from London and couldn’t be happier about our choice to stay here. First thing we saw when we arrived was a beautiful view and a field filled with sheep and their lambs, and a friendly cat to show us the way to the door. I could sit out on the swing and watch the lambs jump around for hours! Surrounded by animals yet not loud or smelly at all, just so peaceful. The hot tub was a dream, the cabin equipped with everything you could need including an air fryer, toaster, lots of kitchen utensils, perfect for making anything you want for dinner. Jo and Julie kindly left us some snacks and a bottle of Prosecco which was a lovely welcome. The cabin is so cosy, bed so comfy , even has a TV! Driving distance to other villages nearby and only 5 minutes from chipping Norton high street. Honestly a 10/10 experience, Jo and Julie - you have something truly special here. We will be recommending this place!
Thank you so much Sophie for lovely review. We are so pleased you both had a lovely time with us. Also thank you for recommending Happy Valley Pod, your correct it is a special place! Thank you Julie and Jo Property Owner

"It was lovely, cosy and romantic, it got everything you need to cook with and even got an air fryer!"
All the sheep and chickens were entertaining to watch in the field alongside an amazing view to wake up to. The wood fired hot tub is an effective idea however there is no thermostat or temperature gauge to know if it’s safe to get in as on a couple of occasions of our stay we couldn’t get into it and use it as it was too hot but other than that I loved that they used eco friendly natural products in the hot tub rather than chlorine and it still felt clean! This lovely cosy pod is great as a base for exploring the Cotswolds. It’s situated 10mins away from shops and restaurants/pubs in Chipping Norton itself. It’s an ideal getaway for two :) Would recommend!
Thank you for your review. Pleased you had a lovely time here at the happy valley pod, the Air fryer is a new addition to the pod and you’re probably the first to use it! The animals are very popular with guests too. Re the Hot tub, the more wood you put on the fire the hotter it will get and will continue to get hot, it’s not possible to have a thermostat installed.Test it with your hand (like you would with a bath) we used to have floating thermometers but they kept getting broken. if it’s too hot then take the lid off and let the fire go down and shut the vent on the grill and wait. This is the first time anyone has mentioned this and people love it rather than the electric ones! If you had asked, we could have ran some cold water into it for you and suggested the above. Natural eco friendly hot tub products we prefer too compared to the Chlorine. Property Owner

"We had an amazing stay and that pod was really lovely and clean inside!"
Lovely setting and really friendly hosts who were really quick to reply to any messages we sent them! We were a bit put off by the hot tub as it wasnt chlorinated and on the floor there was quite a few chunks of bits which we didn’t know what they were- we felt it would be a lot more hygienic and welcoming if it was chlorinated as we would know that it would be clean! We braved it once and it was lovely once we got over the fact that the bits would be floating about in there!
Hi Lisa Thank you for your reply. The chunks have mentioned in the hot tub is from the sachet of chemicals that is added to keep your water clean and safe during your stay. The water is changed and hot tub is cleaned for every new guests without exception. So it was perfectly clean, hygienic and much more pleasant and safe for you and the environment than sitting in chlorine. We would of appreciated if any of your concerns had been raised during your stay and we would of happily explained to you. "Sincere thanks for a wonderful stay and the lengths you went to on a last minute hot tub repair on arrival so we could have bubbles on our first night."
The property is beautiful and we had the most relaxing time watching the wildlife, the Red Kites performing acrobatics had us captivated for hours. And we fell in love with the farm animals, especially the duck procession and the chicken that popped into say hello. I will be highly recommending to all of my friends.
