  • "A well presented and lovely, comfortable, cottage with great facilities and a good garden with outside seating."

Parking available nearby and in the road outside the adjacent property, although the road is busy. A cafetiere provided but we couldn't find any coffee so the coffee bags we brought were very useful. Some dressing gowns would have been a nice touch as the bedrooms are visible from the road but great blinds helped. Beautiful living room with relaxing atmosphere and gorgeous fireplace. Lovely decor. We would return.

Many thanks for your review, we are pleased that you enjoyed our cottage and the lovely Cotswold surroundings and welcome you on a return visit. We are a little confused about your comment on the road being busy as Mill Lane is a quiet side road in the village of Mickleton. For anyone looking we have included additional photos to the set showing Mill Lane . Property Owner

One thing I noticed in the welcome pack was that the central heating temperatures settings are controlled by the owner, and looked a bit low for me. The welcome pack says you can have a conservation with the owner to adjust them.

Thank you for your feedback with regards to your stay at Millbank Cottage. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay with us and thank you for your feedback. We would love to welcome you again in the future for another stay in the Cotswolds. Kind regards Manor Cottages. Owner Comment - Please note that Guests can set the Central Heating Temperature from the Nest Controller in the Hall, the Welcome pack states "Feel free to use the Nest controller in the hall if you wish to override these settings" Property Owner

  • "The cottage is absolutely exquisite!"

We spent almost our entire stay there and our favourite features, in no particular order, are: the fireplace - which set the stage for a quintessential “chocolate box” Christmas! Truly stunning. The bathroom - luxury personified, the lighting provided the perfect ambience to leave you feel completely spoiled. The decor and attention to detail - it is clearly evident the owners thoroughly enjoyed designing and decorating the space to produce a home that is the ultimate blend of historical magic and modern opulence….and we LOVED the Zebra print wallpaper! Staying at Millbank enabled us to create the most magnificent Christmas for ourselves as a family…with memories made being a treasure forever. Thank you so much.

  • "Cozy, clean cottage."

.. great for a few days. The recently renovated bathrooms, kitchen, etc. were super and well equipped. There were only three of us so seating wasn't an issue... Imagine with four people it would be a squish. A more comfy armchair would be better in the lounge and a dining table for those times eating in.

Thank you for your review we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay in our lovely cottage If required we do provide an additional chair in the Study, which can easily be moved into the adjoining lounge. The 18th century cottage does not have a dining room but most guests find the kitchen island to be fine for eating in (when not using the highly recommended Kings Arms which is only 100 metres up Mill Lane) Property Owner

  • "We stayed in this lovely cottage in early August for 4 nights and had a wonderful time."

The cottage has been renovated to a very high standard with some great features, look out for the amazing wallpaper in the downstairs loo, and the automatic lighting on the stairs. The extended kitchen at the rear of the cottage leading on to the very sunny garden is a very welcome addition to the cottage. The log burner is also fantastic and we had a couple of cold wet nights nights where we cosied up in front of the fire. The cottage is well placed for dining out and has a very well stocked local store and a local butchers within a few minutes walk if you want to buy food to eat in. We ate at both pubs in the village but were faced with inclement weather and poor service due to the ‘ping-demic’ so perhaps didn't see them at their best. We walked from the cottage to both Hidcote and Kiftsgate Gardens. We also walked to Chipping Camden, although we did get the bus back! We have not stayed this far north in the Cotswolds before but really enjoyed staying somewhere different with so much to do and see on the doorstep. Finally we were a little concerned about parking but there are plenty of places to park along the side streets so don’t let that put you off this gem of a Cotswold hideaway - it comes highly recommended.

  • "We stayed at Millbank cottage for a long weekend."

Everything was completely perfect right from the start! The cottage is situated in a lovely village with a local shop and a pub a few yards down the road (Kings Arms) with wonderful service, fantastic food and a lovely sunny garden. The village is ideally situated for exploring many local attractions and surrounding towns and villages.

  • "E cottage itself is beautifully decorated and we were pleased to say it was even better than in the pictures!"

A lot of care and attention had been put into the decor, with lovely extra touches like luxurious bedding, fluffy towels and thick dressing gowns. The contemporary decor blends perfectly with the period features and the garden is a suntrap!
