  • "Bedrooms should be listed as 1 en-suite double room and 1 with twin beds for children."

As they are too small for adults also they were uncomfortable.

Thank you for your comments. Kind Regards, Manor Cottages Property Owner

  • "All in all this is a lovely place to stay."

It was comfortable and in a great location. The double bed was very comfortable. The site is relatively quiet despite its close proximity to a main road. Generally the lodge was clean although the cups, glasses and crockery needed a dishwasher clean before use as they weren’t up to standard and handles and surfaces were sticky and needed a further clean. Our check in was 40 minutes late as when we arrived the cleaners were still there and we were told that the last guests had “left it in a right mess!” which left us feeling a little apprehensive. The lodge does need mirrors in the bedrooms as there’s nowhere really to see to dry your hair and use straighteners other than the microwave glass. Despite the small issues would we stay here again? Yes!

Hi Lynn Many thanks for your feedback and we are glad that you found the lodge comfortable and would like to stay again. We are sorry to hear that you had a late check in and the crockery/touch points were not cleaned properly. Both myself and my wife have very high standards when it comes to cleanliness, so we would expect the property to be of this quality as well. Speaking to the management company, it was due to the previous guests taking the key, so the cleaners had to wait until the replacement arrived hence starting the clean late. We can assure you that this will not be happening again and hopefully you can see this if you choose to stay with us in the future. In regard to the mirror, we have been wanting to put one up however have not yet had a chance to go to the property this year so far. It is definitely on the list though. Thanks again for your feedback and apologies for any inconvenience caused on your arrival. Hope to see you again. Many thanks Vee & Sarah. Property Owner

  • "This is a very nice modern lodge and Evesham has plenty of supermarkets and places to eat."

The description of the lodge as being all electric cooking is incorrect, it is gas as shown in the photos. We had pretty much everything we needed for our stay, although a dustpan and brush would have been useful, wasn't sure if I should use the vacuum on that type of flooring. An iron would also have been useful as there is a washer/dryer. A very thoughtful addition is the air cooler/fans as having stayed in another of these lodges a couple of years ago they can get a little warm in summer. The double bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay here.

Hi Janice, Many thanks for your feedback and we are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay. Using the vacuum on all the flooring throughout the lodge is fine. We will look into getting an iron/ironing board, it's very useful to get people's feedback. Hope you stay with us again sometime in the future. Thanks, Sarah & Vee Property Owner

About the location

EVESHAM

Stratford-upon-Avon 14 miles; Worcester 16 miles; Cheltenham 17 miles.

The pretty market town of Evesham lies within the Vale of Evesham, in a horseshoe of the River Avon, within driving distance of Worcester, Cheltenham and Stratford-upon-Avon. Evesham and the surrounding area is famous for its market gardening and the town has an array of individual shops, tea rooms, craft and antique shops, many traditional pubs, an Art Deco cinema and thriving arts centre. Steeped in history and mentioned in the Domesday Book, Evesham has a number of beautiful black and white timbered buildings, namely the 15th century merchants house in the Market Square, and the remains of Evesham Abbey are believed to date back to the 8th century. The area offers many lovely walks with Shakespeare’s Avon Way, Wychavon Way and The Heart of England Way all close by. Evesham Country Park is well worth a visit with an extensive garden centre, well-stocked farm shop, courtyard shops and restaurant, as well as a 130-acre estate criss-crossed with walks, or take a stroll up Bredon Hill home to an Iron Age Fort, Roman ramparts and numerous old standing stones all within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The nearby spa town of Malvern dates back to the Bronze Age, attracting plenty of visitors with its antique and craft fairs and auctions throughout the year, and the ancient cathedral city of Worcester, birthplace of Sir Edward Elgar is also close by.
