  • "Not quite like the first picture, more over grown trees etc ."

Needs cutting back. Deep large gravel path difficult to walk on , 2 over high steps . Very nice and spacious inside , all you need few extras added now . Sofa could do with new cushions and cover . Diesel tank next to cottage outside , not great for sitting outside. Location perfect, peaceful place to visit . Would love to come back , but access not suitable for me .

  • "We’ve had a lovely, relaxing few days exploring the Cotswolds from The Paddock."

Accommodation perfect for two. Bright and modern with all the essentials. A shame our commitments meant we couldn’t stay a little longer. Located on a working equestrian yard, as explained in the details, there was a little noise at times but nothing I would call unexpected or excessive. We were delighted to meet all four of the very friendly, small dogs who lived with the owners. Honington is a stunning village. We were so lucky our holiday coincided with the National Garden Scheme, Gardens Open for Charity; we had a wonderful afternoon exploring all of the 10 beautiful back gardens taking part. The local town had all the facilities we needed, only a short drive away, or a beautiful 1.5 mile walk over the fields.

  • "Absolutely loved out 7 day stay at The Paddock and so did our 12 year old terrier."

Beautiful views and very clean. Just the break we needed. The bed was super comfy and lots of space. We did find we had to drive lots of places as a little isolated but that is just what we wanted. Great pubs and walks nearby. Met a couple of the owners who are lovely. They have dogs running around. Brady is super cute. She snuck under the gate a couple of times into the apartment wanting to play. Horses in field opposite too. Highly recommended and would love to go back

  • "The property itself was well appointed, comfortable and clean."

The hosts were lovely and very helpful with an early issue discovered on entering the property. Pretty walks close by. However we did find that it was not as secluded as the pictures on your site would suggest as the owners door was right next to the bathroom window at the back. Also a large diesel tank was close to the front door of the holiday property which was rather pungent and meant the door could not be left open. Unfortunately it was not very peaceful either as they have four small dogs that barked around the property most of the day (I think this was led by the young spaniel). This put our 9 yr old rescue dog on edge as he just got barked at when he tried to approach them. Also with their entrance so close we could hear them coming and going with car doors slamming at all hours and the dogs barking whenever they had visitors coming or going.

  • "Enjoyed our stay in this lovely peaceful property."

Well appointed with modern furnishings and appliances and very clean. Just a few little tweaks would have made it excellent, e.g. hooks in bathroom and bedroom, washing-up bowl, egg cups, gate latch. Also very good eyesight is needed to see the tv from the sofa!! An excellent location to explore the Cotswolds and the Stratford-on-Avon area.

Family were welcoming and enjoyed the company of the dogs and horses. Would definitely recommend as a place to get away, with lovely villages and places of interest in easy reach to suit all. Will hopefully return one day!

  • "We had a great stay at the Paddock and would happily go again."

Beautiful setting and location. The Paddock is well equipped and very warm and comfortable (we stayed end of November). We took our dog who was very happy and we enjoyed long walks in the area. Wifi wasn't working when we arrived but that was resolved, but the signal was poor. I had to work one day and had to use mobile data to do so. Sofa was also a sofa bed, which wasn't very comfy as it was really short and we are both tall. Don't let this put you off, its a great place and would be wonderful in the summer as there is a really nice seating area outside.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Paddocks, great location for exploring all that the Cotswolds has to offer."

The space is very pleasant with great access to countryside walks on your doorstep. Our hosts are on site and made us feel very welcoming and were extremely dog friendly not just dog tolerant which has been an issue in the past at other cottages. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Paddocks - enjoy!

  • "We enjoyed our stay."

It was very peaceful and the cottage had only recently been completed, thus everything new. There was enough for two people and noted that there was a dishwasher which wasn't included in the general description but we washed up in the bowl each day. Good place to stay to enjoy the Cotswolds.

  • "The Paddock is lovely I'd you like dogs as they come visiting regularly!"

We stayed for two weeks and understood that linen is provided for the stay., imagine then our dismay half way through our stay to get a text message from the owner saying we had to pay extra to them for a change of linen! We declined and made do with what we had. The location is great it is quiet and as we say lovely. Just be aware of the dogs and if staying more than a week do not expect a change if linen in with the price paid as stated on Sykes.

Hello Ian & Sharon. I am sorry you felt disheartened by a small cost of bed new linen in a two week stay. Towels were changed for you free of charge. Many thanks for your other kind remarks. Best wishes Loraine. Property Owner

Very comfortable and quality fittings. Excellent. Very friendly owners and family on a working stables/farm, it was a perfect bolt hole in the countryside, but within walking distance to Shipston on Stour (down the road and across the fields, lovely). We and our dog loved it and will be back!
