"Excellent property, small but plenty of room for 2 people."
Bed is excellent quality

"We had a lovely stay at the Wash House, and yes the property is down a farm track, a very long farm track (be prepared for a bumpy ride)."
All that said, we saw a resident barn owl on 2 occasions, buzzards sat on the ground, deer, as well as a host of other wildlife even though this was the 1st week of February. The property itself was just right for the 2 of us. It was lovely to light the log burner of an evening, extra logs currently at £3 per basket, this includes kindling too. Comfy bed and a lovely shower completed a very nice stay. Personally we prefer a bigger bath towel but that is our preference. We were greeted by the owner who informed us of a few local things, and we had been left a lovely Victoria Sandwich sponge cake, milk, tea, coffee etc. which was very nice, and greatly appreciated. Even though we visited in February, we found plenty to do, as many things are closed at this time of year. The weather was kind to us also, so all in all a very pleasant week. Thank you.

"What a lovely place!"
. It certainly lived up to its description! An ideal location if you want to really chill out. Watching the bird life on the doorstep was a bonus. The cake was delicious, thank you.
-

Spotless, very well equipped, very good layout with good sized rooms.Plenty of storage for our things.Fabulous drive down to the property with nice views, and parking up gives you an amazing view over the countryside. So quiet and peaceful, with no light pollution.Would definitely go again. Thank you for a fabulous week away!

"Very relaxing for getting away from the hustle and bustle of city life."
All amenities supplied. Cake was added touch. Most recommended.
-
"We had a weekend stay in this beautiful little property."
It is the perfect place to get away from it all with fantastic views. The hosts were helpful and the facilities in The Wash House were great. The quality of finish on the furnishings was high and added to the warm and welcoming feel. Looking forward to returning.
-
"Loved our stay at the Wash House :-) Perfect size for the two of us, everything we needed was provided."
The shower is amazing, like standing in a rainstorm (but a hot one), the bed was huge and very comfortable. Best bit was the amazing view, we wrapped up and sat and watched the sunset nearly every night. Made the most of the woodstove on the final two nights. Adrian and Helen were friendly and welcoming, and the cake and and milk were a lovely touch. Good walks to the village, where the small shop can be recommended for things you need, but forgot to bring with you or buy elsewhere :-) We didn't go out to eat, local hostelries had (for us, at least) erratic opening hours and we didn't want to leave the place in the evenings. Really recommend The Wash House.

"I have to say, that this was probably the best, comfiest, well equipped cottage that we have stayed in."
The views were amazing, the homemade cake was gorgeous! Lovely to have milk on arrival in a glass bottle! The bed was beautiful, clean, tidy, kitchen had everything you could need, tea bags, coffee, sugar, washing up liquid etc etc! The hosts were also lovely and so helpful. Yes the road up to the cottage is bumpy but it's near a farm! My husband and I just loved the views, wildlife, even seeing a red deer! Plus the northern lights also! Perfect holiday in a perfect place. Thankyou. We shall return.
-
"This was our 4th visit to this lovely holiday property which, I think, speaks for itself."
It’s a gem in the wonderful countryside of this part of the world. Peace & quiet with great views. Adrian & Helen are the perfect hosts & their cakes are superb! It’s a place where you can relax & hunker down should the weather turn inclement with a log burner as well as the central heating. Hope to return again next year.

"Enjoyed our stay at The Wash House."
A lovely warm welcome from Nigel & Helen. Lovely and clean and felt really comfortable
-
"The long driveway was very bumpy and very stony."
Not enough turning space for car at property. Property was cold on arrival and in the evenings.
-
"We loved our stay at this cottage which is set down a farm track away from it all."
Very quiet with wonderful views over the countryside. The perfect place to escape to. It is beautifully furnished with a well equipped kitchen & has a lovely patio to sit & watch the amazing sunsets that we had. We felt very at home here
-
"Lovely clean cottage- the cake was delicious."
Washing machine was great but an airer would be useful to put the wet clothes on. The drive from the main road was longer than we expected but it didnt spoil the holiday.
-
"We had a lovely stay."
Very peaceful as off beaten track Property was very clean. Met owner when we arrived. Lovely gentleman who pointed us in right direction where to eat.. Would love to come back
-
"This cottage is in a very peaceful setting looking over fields and hills."
Helen, the owner is very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and also a brilliant cook! Would certainly recommend The Wash House for a relaxing get away.
-
"Nice cottage in great location, lots of wildlife, lovely views and peaceful, owners seemed nice."
Only downside was a long narrow lane with a bit of a hump in the middle in parts, which grated on the bottom of our car. The hedges were a little overgrown so scraped the bodywork when we tried to avoid the hump. If you have good ground clearance, and not too worried about paint work, not a problem.
-
"Lovely little cottage in a lovely setting."
So peaceful and quiet. Surrounded by some quaint villages. Lovely big bed and nice shower. Had a lovely stay.
-
"What a hidden gem, this lovely, modern cottage with spectacular view!"
Thoroughly loved watching the tawny owls and barnowl soaring by during the evening. Great location for exploring the Cotswolds! Bed was very comfortable, shower fab, brilliant choice of books and dvds. The access road is quite a challenge but then again, so are the roads in the UK ;-). Thank you, Helen and Adrian for your hospitality!
-
"Stayed at The Wash House Sifford Ferris Oxfordshire and it was wonderful the accommodation was very clean well equipped ."

-
"Lovely property, friendly hosts."
Peaceful and quiet.
-
"We had the most amazing stay at The Wash House, The cottage was spotlessly clean, well euipped, and the underfloor heating kept the cottage toasty warm."
The hosts, Helen and Adrian, gave us a warm welcome, and Helen's advice on viewing the wildlife was most informative and helpful. As a result, we saw the Barn Owls and the Little Owl, which was so special. On other occassions, we saw Kites, Buzzards, Muntjac and Roe Deer. The cottage is idealy situated for visiting numerous National Trust Properties, as well as all the usual tourist places in the Cotswolds. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Wash House, and we look forward to a 2nd holiday there in the not too distant future.
-
"I had a wonderful stay at The Wash House."
It was cosy, had everything you could need, and a lovely view! Helen and Adrian are brilliant hosts and I would love to come back again.
-
"The Wash House is so beautifully isolated and tastefully furnished that we found it impossible to give it less than 5 stars in every category."
The owners are delightful and thoughtful and, although the weather was bitterly cold, the underfloor heating gave this cosy little property enough heat to be very comfortable indeed. Thank you! Bruce & Christine
-
"The cottage was great."
A nice welcome, also a gift very nice. The cottage was very comfortable, cosy, clean, and the owners made sure we had everything we wanted and if we were warm enough. Would have liked to stay in the summer when the weather was warmer but we cannot change that. Altogether it was a very nice place to stay.
-

"Our host provided a warm welcome on arrival."
The wash House was very comfortable and modern with lots of room for two people and well equipped for self-catering. The countryside view from The Wash House is spectacular, even on rainy days. I recommend this holiday property.
-
"Helen and Adrian are welcoming and very easy going hosts."
The property has a marvellous view and is extremely quiet.
-
"Fabulous views from a very comfortable and clean holiday cottage."
We met both Helen and Adrain, who were very friendly. They live at the rear of The Wash House, but you are not disturbed at all and rarely see them. Helen makes a delicious sponge cake. The property is well furnished with a comfortable bed and sofa. You have everything to make your holiday a home from home experience. The views are just fabulous and we would never tire of them. It was lovely to get back late afternoon and sit on the patio, listening to only bird song and looking at the view. Plenty of places to visit within an hour from the cottage. We would love to return again, as we never got to complete our list. Great walks from the door too, around the villages. With pubs in both.
-
"Lovely cottage very comfortable and peaceful"
-

"Overall the best Sykes cottage we have stayed in."
Adrian and Helen were excellent owners. We liked the quiet location, with lovely views, close to many interesting National Trust locations and Historic Houses. There was an abundance of interesting wildlife outside, we saw deer, a green woodpecker and owls. Plenty of walks in the area and two excellent close pubs.
-
"The Wash House is a fabulous holiday cottage in a beautiful area."
It is comfortable, clean and well equipped. It is fairly remote down a long farm track so there is plenty of wildlife to see. Helen and Adrian were very welcoming and friendly. This cottage is highly recommended.

"We had a wonderful time at The Wash House."
It was ideal for the two of us and our hobby of Geocaching. The cottage is at the end of a long track and really is quite isolated. This suited us down to the ground. The cottage was cosy, clean, comfortable and very warm with the underfloor heating, so we did not need to use the wood burner. It had everything we needed for a week's holiday. The owner came to check that everything was in order. We thanked him for the excellent Victoria sponge that he had made for us. We had a chat about the state of farming, the history of the building and this and that, then he left us to it! The view from the kitchen/diner window was excellent. We saw kites, buzzards, flocks of fieldfares and redwing and many other birds. We saw a muntjac deer, and the squirrels and blackbirds were outside on the gravel each and every day. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable and the bed was huge and very comfortable. The shower worked well and there was plenty of hot water. I must mention the dark sky. If it is a clear night and you like star gazing, this is the place for you. Sunsets were also colourful. We would not hesitate to recommend this little gem!
-
"A lovely cottage with a beautiful view, we had a peaceful few days here which was just the break we were hoping for."
Very kind to find a homemade cake on arrival, and everything we needed to make for a comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing a relaxing space, just perfect for one or two people.
-

"We had a wonderful week at the Wash house."
Helen and Adrian are lovely hosts. If you enjoy the countryside and nature, this is the place for you. The views are beautiful and it's really great to return after a day out and sit on the patio listening to birdsong. The bed is really comfortable and there is a good shower. There are lots of places to go to nearby, so despite being rural it's good for sightseeing. We would highly recommend the Wash House.
-

"We had a lovely holiday at the Wash house comfortable clean accommodation."
The owner Helen had made us a beautiful cake on arrival there was also a vase of fresh flowers and a bottle of milk in the fridge. The views are stunning and lots of wildlife to see. Plenty of instant hot water and a fab shower. I asked Helen about the fab pottery on display and she took me to her pottery studio well worth a visit and lots of lovely pots to buy. If your after peace and relaxing accommodation this property is well worth a stay in the Cotswolds thanks again Helen and Adrian .

The situation of the Wash House is superb, so quiet and beautiful views. The wood burner was amazing and it was all so comfortable. Will definitely look for an opportunity to come again. Adrian and Helen were very welcoming and a delicious cake and beautiful daffodils were awaiting our arrival ( and milk in the fridge). Would wholeheartedly recommend it.

"We had a lovely stay at one of the cleanest and most spacious cottages for 2 we have stayed in."
The Wash house was warm and cosy. It was peaceful and the owners left us to it after welcoming us. The homemade cake was absolutely lovely and a delightful touch. We enjoyed watching the Red kites and buzzards flying above us. It was a great base to explore the cotswolds.
-
"We had a lovely week last week at the Wash House."
We eventually found it after our sat nav told us to turn left too early! Up a very long drive (just keep going) but the views from the property are spectacular, especially the sunsets. The property has every conceivable item in the kitchen and it’s really cozy if you light the small log burner which we did on 2 occasions. The large bedroom has a king sized bed (2x3foot mattresses) and plenty of wardrobe space. The bathroom has a large shower and has underfloor heating. The property was immaculately clean and the Victoria sponge made by Adrian was superb. Met Helen his wife later in the week and she kindly showed us round her pottery workshop. They are a lovely friendly couple and made us feel very welcome and we can most certainly recommend this property to anyone wishing for some peace & quiet.
-
"The property was extremely clean and a bottle of milk was left in the fridge together with a beautiful home made cake which was absolutely delicious."
The property is on the owner's farm. After a welcoming introduction on the first day we did not see them. A useful and informative leaflet which included their contact details. There was a great selection of books, games, many DVDs and very useful maps. The views are beautiful and very peaceful and we saw some stunning sunsets The location perfect to explore the Cotswold area and easy to get to Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon. We had a very relaxing week. This was our first time away since Lockdown and we both felt safe and secure. Many thanks,
-
