• "We had a great long weekend in this beautiful secluded property."

  The house was immaculately clean with everything needed for our comfort and a fabulous kitchen for preparing meals for the ten of us. The bedrooms and linens were of a very high quality and the children loved the spacious garden. We were very lucky with the weather and could eat outside as well. Having visited the area before we managed to have a couple of trips out, to the Cotswold Wildlife Park and Crocodile World which the children enjoyed. We would certainly recommend the property for a similar family group. Thank you.

• "Fantastic stay at Shifford Manor with my family."

  The house was spacious clean with a beautiful garden, we took a trip to the local pub on Sunday which again was great although we weren’t able to find the walking path. I would definitely recommend Shifford manor for large families, spacious kitchen 2 lounges large garden and plenty space for all to sleep comfortably.

• "A wonderful stay with family and friends."

  The accommodation was excellent, plenty of space inside and outside. Extremely well furnished and equipped. Welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, biscuits etc much appreciated. Lots of little thoughtful extras in the house which enhanced the stay. Great for all ages. Everyone still talking about the stay. We can't wait to return.

• "Our short visit was a celebration of a significant birthday."

  Children and grandsons came from Oxford, Toronto and Stockholm. The facilities were first class and perfect for the gathering. Beds were comfortable and the bath rooms well appointed. No hesitation in recommending the property.

• "The house has been refurbished relatively recently to an exceptional standard with top end appliances double dishwashers and a huge fridge capacity."

  The kitchen is very well supplied with good sharp knives plenty of pans and at last for a holiday let enough glasses of all sizes! The garden is great for sitting out and for children's and adult's games. There is a haha at the end of the lawn with a fence, sadly there is no easy way down to the field level and all the farm gates are locked, so for those who are careful of our hip joints, there was no way to walk directly down to the Thames. We know that there were cows and calves around, but most people are not stupid. I did not look like there had been anyone here for some days, given that, it would have been a thought to have let us take over earlier than 6 pm, as that made the children's feeding and bathing late and rather ate into our first evening. For a large house it would be good to have a floor plan so we could plan who was going to be where rather than the scrum when we arrived. In general the house has loads of space for up to 13 people in comfort and not all crowded together in poor weather as in a French ski lodge.. We had a great family weekend.

• "An amazing property."

  Wonderful for family reunions. We gathered from throughout England together with my sister and husband from California. We prepared and cooked all our meals and there wasn’t a single extra utensil we could have wished for. The beds were supremely comfortable. Superb bathrooms. The walks along the Thames Path excellent with fantastic wildlife including a beautiful fox.

• "Shifford Manor Farm is without doubt the best holiday house we have ever stayed in."

  A superb house, remotely located, which is great, because our young grandchildren make a lot of noise! Cleanliness was second to none. Very high spec appliances and top quality in every respect. Equipped with two dishwashers, which for a house this size just makes sense. Even the kitchen knives are sharp. The welcome pack was also substantial - not just a few dishwasher tabs etc, but two loaves of bread, tea, coffee, and several packets of biscuits, etc. Also plenty of TVs - both sitting rooms, kitchen and up in the loft suite; I assume they work, but we didn't use any of them. The house also a large, enclosed garden laid mostly to lawn - perfect for games. My only complaint is the weather was too warm to enjoy the logs burners (three - one in each sitting room and one in the dining room)! It was a lot of money to stay here just for a long weekend, but for a special family occasion it was worth it; this house is so good we plan to dream up another suitable event to justify coming back!

• "We had a family gathering to celebrate my 75th birthday."

  There were 13 of us including 5 children. The facilities and accommodation were first class and the large garden was ideal for children’s games. We particularly liked having 2 dishwashers and 2 large fridge freezers. All in all an excellent location which we would have no hesitation in recommending for large family gatherings

• "We really couldn't fault this beautiful oak beamed but modern updated property and communications with the owner."

  New Year with all our family from different parts of England was amazing and the Christmas decorations and welcome basket were a fantastic treat.. Everywhere was spotless and the House had excellent cooking facilities and equipment. Beds were very comfy and beautifully soft large towels. Spectacular views of farmland and animals. Plenty of room for 10 of us inside and out. Ample parking too. Would definately recommend for large family gatherings.

• "The farmhouse was a wonderful place for a family holiday!"

  The grandchildren liked running in the garden, watching the tractors in the lane and the combine harvesters! The area is quiet and peaceful but close to Witney and all it's facilities. Our party particularly liked the vegan Cafe in town! The Leys park has a good play park with water jets, great for a hot day!

• "The house is vast and all the appliances are top of the range, which is almost unheard of in a holiday rental."

  The house was absolutely spotless when we arrived and it has brilliant WiFi much to the delight of the older children. We would definitely recommend it to anyone. I’m struggling to find any thing negative to say, but perhaps a hot tub or given the very large garden even a pool?
