"The cottage is absolutely perfect and has everything you need for your stay including a beautiful private garden, it is a credit to the owners and it is only a few minutes walk to the beautiful High Street of Stow on the Wold where you will find lots of gorgeous shops and fabulous pubs and restaurants."
If we return to the Cotswolds this is the cottage we will stay in again xx
It is great to hear that you had such a lovely time and that you would look to stay in the property again if you revisit the area. We hope you do as it has so much to offer and so much more to see! We will be sure to pass your comments on to the owners, who will very much appreciate them. Kind Regards, Manor Cottages Property Owner

"Very nice cottage in a quiet and convenient location very close to the town centre."
The off road parking was ideal and it was nice to have a private back garden to enjoy the sunshine.

"A lovely little cottage, easy walk into Stow town, we went in every shop, well, it would be rude not to!"
We were lucky enough to have good enough weather to eat lunch outside one day. The sitting room was very comfortable and we lit the fire which was very cosy. Kitchen was well stocked, even a cafetière ! (We bought one each, just in case) wish we’d known there was one already. The oven was a bit of a mission to turn on, but once we’d read the instructions we realised that the child lock was on! Beds nice and comfortable, linen lovely! We slept well, but that could have been the wine!!! On the whole. It was a lovely girly couple of days away! Thank you so much. We would come back!

"We enjoyed a very good week at Holly Cottage."
The location was great for many excellent walks in the area and is a short walk to the town centre to the many shops, pubs and interesting places in Stow. The cottage was warm and welcoming. The heating could be controlled from the thermostat in the lounge, however the bathroom was a little chilly at times. The beds were comfortable and supportive. We enjoyed the traditional Cotswold character of the property. I would definitely recommend this cottage for a short break or week away particularly out of season.
We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay and the location. We hope we can welcome you back again, Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

"Property loverly on the inside ,but outside neglect and scruffy,so not pleasant to sit out"

"Lovely place!"

"The owner should withdraw property until he gets satisfactory internet and TV connections."
Description dishonest. Not a cottage but a terraced apartment alongside a seventies housing estate. Access to property unacceptable with jammed lockbox. Serviceman used screwdriver to open. No compensation offered in spite of 2 weeks of hassle
Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you experienced issues with the wifi and tv during your stay. Our maintenance team did visit on several occasions and each time they left, the wifi was in good working order. Regarding the description, we do feel that this honestly reflects the amenities offered and that the photographs clearly show this to be a terraced cottage rather than a terraced apartment. It is located in the heart of Stow and has an off road parking space which is relatively unusual. We can confirm that the key safe has now been repaired and will look again at the instructions for the tv to ensure that the information is as clear as possible. "Lovely cottage spotlessly clean."
Some minor issues. Heating not easy to control, clearer instructions required. Bathroom needs additional heating in particular. Tried to light log fire but ended up with the lounge full of smoke so gave up. Surprised no freezer or ice box in fridge, gin and tonic not the same without ice. Very little storage for clothes, no wardrobes only 2 clothes hangers provided! Didn’t spoil our stay but felt worth pointing out.

"The property was beautiful, so clean and comfortable, very well equipped."
We went during a very cold snap and it was hard to keep the cottage warm. We needed much more wood for the fire than we anticipated but when the fire was lit, the lounge was lovely and toasty. The bathroom was especially cold. The only other thing to mention that the mattresses were pretty hard. Perhaps some bed toppers might help? We really enjoyed our stay and I think we will come back when the weather is warmer.
Thank you for providing this feedback and we're glad you loved Holly Cottage. Thank you also for bringing to our attention the heating issue in the bathroom and also the mattresses. Your comments have been handed on to the Property Manager. We would love to welcome you again (hopefully the weather will be warmer!). Manor Cottages Property Owner

"Lovely cosy clean cottage, would highly recommend & would rebook."
2 tiny points, went on a very cold week & bathroom could do with bigger radiator /additional heat source and we only lit the fire once as there wasn't a fire guard & the smoke kept coming in the lounge (could be due to a down draft as was very windy)
Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased that you enjoyed the cottage. Best wishes, Manor Cottages Property Owner

About the location
STOW-ON-THE-WOLD
Bourton-on-the-Water 4 miles; Stratford upon Avon 15 miles.
The highest town in the Cotswolds, Stow-on-the-Wold, originally an Iron Age Fort, epitomises olde worlde England. This ancient market town has played host to many fairs since the 12th century and today holds a biannual Gypsy Horse Fair, craft fairs and monthly Farmers' market. The vast market square boasts an ancient cross at one end and the village stocks at the other, surrounded by an elegant array of Cotswold stone townhouses, antique shops, tea rooms, traditional pubs, award-winning restaurants and its very own cricket museum. Many walks and cycle rides through the beautiful rolling countryside of the Cotswolds can be enjoyed from the centre of Stow, with the Macmillan Way, Heart of England Way, Gloucestershire and Monarch's Way all running close to the town. Bourton-on-the-Water, known as the 'Venice of the Cotswolds' as the River Windrush runs through the centre, lies in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is one of the most popular Cotswold villages. The Saxon market town of Moreton-in-Marsh and the quintessential English village of Broadway are all within easy reach and make a great day out. Cheltenham (20 miles away) is, architecturally, the most complete regency town in England. A spa town with an incredible range of shops, cinemas, theatres, restaurants and pubs, it is famous for its horse-racing festival in March, culminating in the Gold Cup steeplechase. At other times of year, it is host to literature, jazz, classical music, science and food and drink festivals. Oxford, the oldest university city in England and sometimes called 'The City of Dreaming Spires’ has an abundance of prestigious attractions, including the 38 colleges of the university (half of which date back before 1600), the oldest university teaching room, the Bodleian Library, Ashmolean and Pitt Rivers Museums, and Botanic Gardens. Stratford-upon-Avon, Bath, Worcester and the waterfront city of Gloucester are also within easy reach, making Stow-on-the-Wold an ideal base.
