"Truly marvellous stay at The Office, much different from our normal ones."
House was super cosy and a home from home but without the grown up children we still have living at home. Ironbridge gave us lots of memories from walking up some very steep hills, shaking knees descending down very steep hills and loads of places to eat out and replace any calories we might have lost. We walked Benthall Hall/gardens on a super sunny day which was beautiful and also drove to the RAF air museum which my husband enjoyed immensely, warning it’s quite a big museum with 3 hangers to enjoy. We will definitely aim to visit again and thanks to Jude for the bottle of wine/chocolates and anniversary card.

"We very much enjoyed our stay at the Office, using the comfy outside furniture a lot on the patio, as we were lucky with the weather."

"Very enjoyable stay."
The Office was all as described, very clean and comfortable and had all the facilities required and close to all the amenities and museums.
No real issues, the walk up the hill was a bit of a struggle, but then we knew that. There was a problem with hot water first thging but easily sorted.
Highly recommend.

"We had a lovely stay for a Christmas break at The Office."
The cottage was comfortable and very well equipped. Communication with the owner was very good before and during our stay. As we staying at Christmas we were offered the option of Christmas decorations which we appreciated. The cottage is very close to the centre of Ironbridge with pubs and restaurants a short walk away. The cottage was set back up a steep hill in a quiet position. The owner kept us informed and gave us plenty of notice when the Ironbridge flood defences went up and arranged alternative parking due to road closures. We really enjoyed our stay and are considering booking again.

"We had an amazing week at The Office it was very clean, cosy, comfortable and the perfect location."

"The Post is a lovely place to stay."
It is very well decorated and furnished. The finishes inside and out are of very high and modern quality. There is everthing you need for a stay here. With just a very short walk to the main street of Ironbridge, the Post is in an excellent, very quiet spot for exploring the nearby countryside. Jude, the host couldn't have been more helpful. We thouughly enjoyed our week here and would highly recommend this lovely holiday cottage.

"Stunning little property with a dedicated parking space around 100 yards away."
Comfy bed, fabulous walk in shower and two outside seating areas. Right in the town centre but felt a million miles away from it at the same time. Will definitely be back was perfect for my annual solo trip I do.

Had a problem with water supply but this was sorted very quickly and efficiently. Parking space is very tight if you have a large car. Would stay here again.

The property
With a designated off-road parking space for the property and an open-plan living area, The Office rests in Ironbridge and is a fantastic base for a couple looking for a getaway to Shropshire.
Follow a small road surrounded by bird song and mature trees to discover this lovely one bedroom property, noticing the two delightful sitting areas where you will be drawn to enjoy morning coffee in the sunshine as you plan your itinerary for the day, also housing storage for bikes and golf clubs.
Be welcomed into a beautifully furnished open-plan living area, with a fantastic kitchen housing all of the amenities needed to create a romantic meal for two, which can be enjoyed with your significant other at the dining table accompanied by a glass of your favourite beverage.
As the evening wears on, curl up in the corner sofa to enjoy a movie night before ascending the oak staircase and freshening up in the contemporary shower room and settling down in the homely double bedroom.
Ironbridge is a lovely town resting beside the River Severn in Shropshire.
The town houses a selection of tasty eateries, cafes and pubs, so you can enjoy a meal out when you don’t feel like cooking, and a convenience store where you can stock up on essentials.
Enjoy a stroll beside the River Severn, past the Ion Bridge, or visit the historic Bedlam Furnaces, and there are also a handful of close by museums including the Ironbridge George Museum, Enginuity and Jackfield Tile Museum.
Try out a game of golf at Horsehay Village Golf Centre or Shropshire Golf Course, before taking a walk, through local scenery at The Wrekin, near which you can discover the ruins of Buildwas Abbey.
From here you will find Shrewsbury housing loads of eateries and shops to explore, beside which there is the fascinating Wroxeter Roman City, the bustling city of Birmingham, home to an extensive Christmas market, and the Cannick Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where countryside walks can be enjoyed.

Ironbridge Gorge is known throughout the world as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. Today the area is far from industrial and nature has reclaimed most of the former industrial sites, leaving a unique and beautiful wooded valley. The gorge is a now a maze of footpaths, bridleways and country lanes whilst the delightful village is famous for being home of the world's first iron-built bridge, built between 1777-79. The village has a splendid variety of pubs, restaurants, shops and tea rooms and a collection of ten industrial and Victorian themed museums makes up the Ironbridge Museums Trust, including the exciting Blists Hill Victorian Village. Within driving distance are the popular historical towns of Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock and Ludlow, as well as the Wroxeter Roman City, the Severn valley Railway, the RAF Cosford Museum and many National Trust properties. Ironbridge is a wonderful base from which to explore the beautiful county of Shropshire.
