  • "We were very comfortable in this lovely, cosy, well-equipped cottage - perfect for a short break."

Very clean with all amenities in good working order. Much Wenlock itself is charming, with all the basics available within short walking distance of the cottage and nice walks out in all directions. Highly recommended.

Dear Patricia We are so glad you found Tannery Cottage warm and cozy. We hope you enjoyed the log burner as well. Kind regards Kate and Darren Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage, well presented and clean, with all facilities you could want."

Our boys and dogs loved the garden too. Very central but quiet location. There were basic essentials such as salt, pepper, tea, coffee and sugar, washing up liquid and cleaning supplies which was thoughtful. We were also left a carton of UHT milk and a bottle of wine which was a lovely touch. The only thing lacking was soap in the downstairs toilet, everything else was great. We would definitely recommend and book again!

Dear Elizabeth Thank you for your positive feedback. We are really pleased you enjoyed your stay at Tannery cottage. We will ensure the soap is replaced in the downstairs toilet, thank you for the heads up. Please stay again in the future. Best wishes Kate and Darren Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage perfectly located."

Could do with a few more utensils in the kitchen. Straining spoon for cooking veg, large serving spoon both would be very useful. Also egg cup's for boiled egg breakfast. I also feel a small fan would be useful as it was not easy to access fresh air in the small bedroom owing to the location of the sky light. Please do not take the suggestion as a negative. It was a treat to walk into a high street and get fresh food it would have been a shame not to use self-catering to its full advantage. Excellent cottage.

Dear Annette thank you taking the time to give your helpful feedback. A fan is now in each bedroom. A serving spoon and slotted spoon are in the kitchen with 8 egg cups . We hope you can come back in the future. Kind regards Kate and Darren Property Owner

    Superb.

Dear David Thank you for your review and from the nice comments made about the property in the book. To clarify matters the 2 next door neighbours have access around the back garden for the bins once a week on a Tuesday and occasionally garden maintenance. It is not a public right of way. We will add this to the Sykes website details. Property Owner

  • "We absolutely loved this cottage."

It’s been beautifully renovated, was so comfortable and we had everything we needed. Our guests couldn’t join us so we were spoilt for space but there would have been ample for the four of us (plus dog! Having a dog stair barrier was a good idea). Much Wenlock is a lovely, interesting place and the cottage is perfectly situated for a short walk into the centre or driving to other towns. Thank you Kate for our stay and again for all the help you gave us. Also for your kind welcome items. Best wishes and we look forward to visiting again.

  • "We stayed a week at The Tannery in Dec 2023."

The newly renovated Cottage is swish & spotlessly clean. The kitchen is modern & well equipped & the cosy living room with a log burner is lovely. Our king size bedroom was marvellous & had one of the most comfortable beds ever. Although the cottage is right in the centre of Much Wenlock, just a short walk from pubs and shops. The welcome guide was really useful and had several, easy to follow walks from the doorstep which we tried out with our dog. The village pubs, The George & Dragon and The Fox Inn were very welcoming, dog friendly, and served great food at reasonable prices. A bit further afield we enjoyed Ironbridge & Shrewsbury, a visit to the Prison is recommended. Also, The Wreckin'. The views are well worth the climb. A great place for a relaxing getaway in a beautiful part of England.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. It really is appreciated. So glad you tried out some of the walks. Sounds like you really got out and explored what Shropshire has to offer. Hope to see you again in the future. Kind regards Darren. Property Owner
