Ive never been in such a warm house with no heating on - it was incredible : my only criticism is the tight turn on the bend into the property which was a bit awkward at times - otherwise very good - thank you

  • "Lovely garden with super view of countryside."

Very quiet with just the sound of ducks and chickens from neighbouring small holding. Miles away from any main roads and close to footpaths for keen walkers. Cottage very well equipped and well furnished. Large kitchen and bedrooms very nicely made up with good views. Owner very helpful and on- hand if needed. Difficult to fault.

  • "Beautiful house with amazing views."

Remote but has one neighbour (offset) so not disturbed or over looked at all. House and gardens well maintained. Upstairs floors creaking but adds to the character of the house. Wood burner in the lounge was great. Kitchen very well equipped. Property is located approx 5 miles on a very narrrow lane in any direction, small holding next door which was perfect for us may not be to everyone’s liking. Booked thru Skyes instead of Airbnb. So much cheaper but no welcome basket. Small amount of tea, coffee, condiments etc so no need to worry about these ok the first day. Lovely stay and great base for exploring.

Glad to hear you saved money through Skyes! Sorry about the creaking floorboards. I hope it did not affect your stay? Shropshire and surrounding area has a lot to offer pleased to hear you had a lovely stay. Property Owner

We loved our stay here. Great views from upstairs windows and garden, especially sitting in the rocks at the top. Very comfortable bed and sofas. Well equipped and furnished. Three seating areas in the garden so can chose between sun and shade. Didn’t use the log cabin but would have been great for a family, especially with teenagers.

Thank you for your lovely comments. Shropshire is a beautiful county. I am pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay. Come back soon! Property Owner

  • "We had an enjoyable and comfortable stay in this lovely cottage."

It is surrounded by countryside and beautiful views and has several areas outside to sit in and enjoy the peace (if you’re lucky with the weather!). Indoors there are comfortable sofas, a good size tv and a very well equipped kitchen, together with a proper dining table. There is also a downstairs toilet. The wifi signal was strong throughout the house. Upstairs the three bedrooms are bright and airy. The shower in the bathroom wasn’t super powerful but good enough. As other reviewers have noted, the roads around the property are fairly narrow country roads but nothing out of the ordinary, to us it was part of the beauty of being in that location. We would definitely come back to this property if we come to this area again.

Thank you for your positive feedback. Glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Property Owner

It is spacious, clean, comfortable and convenient - everything has been thought of. All the facilities worked perfectly. We were there just after Christmas and the cottage was beautifully decorated - it must have taken a great deal of time. The wood burning stove was great and we enjoyed the extensive view from the upstairs windows. There are good walks in two directions from the door (bring wellies if it's wet). Altogether a great place to stay.

  • "This is a beautiful cottage and we were very happy with all the facilities."

The problem is it is five miles from the main road down tiny narrow lanes and every time you want to go out you have to negotiate single track overgrown roads with few passing places. I regret it spoiled our holiday and we came home after three days.

  • "The house was very clean and well presented and was fully equipped to make our stay wonderful."

The house is situated in the middle of nowhere which made it extremely peaceful. Floorboards extremely creaky so everyone knew whenever someone moved around upstairs! The garden furniture was a a little disappointing - everything was filthy, only four comfortable outside chairs and no umbrella. The track entrance needed a mirror as on a blind bend and had to manoeuvre in 2 goes leaving vulnerable to anything travelling fast round bend The arrival directions were not correct (we realised in advance so didn’t follow them)

The log burner was a bonus due to the cold weather and each bedroom was spacious and clean! I was pleasantly surprised to find a downstairs cloakroom which was an added bonus as on the description it wasn’t clear that there was one. Communication with Sue was amazing, and the message I received in the morning regarding the farmers market was a lovely touch. We had a problem with the Wi-Fi which was resolved within a few hours and I cannot fault anything about the cottage or the property owner. I would definitely return and recommend.

Nice to be away from any main roads etc. my daughter liked checking out what Rupert the horse was doing next door each morning. Weather was good but, not hot, which is the gamble in April but the large log burner was plenty to keep us nice and toasty in the evenings! With some nice National trust properties within 30 mins drive there was plenty of options for days out as well as having a look round some of the local villages/towns. We particularly liked Ludlow for range of shops and pubs etc.

Set in a wonderful location handy to get to a number of local tourist sites in the area and beyond. Remember to take supplies with you as you are away from the shops (about 5 miles) but loved the peace and quiet as well as the comfort. Will definitely looked to come again. Just 1 small footnote... missed having a bit of milk in the fridge waiting like we have had at other places as could get the kettle on for a cuppa without getting unpacked first

  • "The bathroom toilet definitely needs attention."

It does not flush properly and the seat is very wobbly. Also the fan which comes on with the bathroom light, stays on for far too long after the light is switched off. During the night this can disturb others. Would benefit from being an independent fan switch. Also it needs pointing out in the property details that the bedroom with 2 single beds does not have a wardrobe. This did not affect us, but others may be angered. For warned is for armed as they say. Other than that we enjoyed out stay. Lovely setting, good views and very tranquil and quiet. Lots to see in the area with Ludlow, Bridgnorth and the Severn Valley Railway.
