"We had a very relaxing comfortable stay here."
Amenities were good. We had a problem with the thermostat for the heating, but the owners swiftly came to the rescue and it didn’t interfere with our stay. The property is well placed for visiting many places in the vicinity Bath being one. A tip is to take the park and ride. Bristol, Weston Supermare Castle Combe, Lacock and Chew Valley Reservoir and. Cheddar Gorge are a MUST to see. Jenny who lives next door to the adjoining cottage couldn’t be more welcoming. A rarity we have to say. We have stayed in Sykes Cottages many times and only 2 of the owners have been friendly and went the extra mile. It certainly makes the holiday So thank you Jenny and Eric
thank you for such a lovely review. I love meeting all our guests and hope they all have as happy time as you diff. Jenny Property Owner

"A very quiet and peaceful retreat, Garden Cottage had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay, with a lovely view over the lawn and orchard to the fields beyond."
Sadly it was too wet and chilly to sit outside on the very private patio, which is surrounded by trees and lawn, but it would be lovely in the warmer weather. The friendly owners live in the adjoining property, and are keen to ensure that everything is well for their visitors.
Thanks for a great review Susan x Property Owner

"On arrival everything looked fine, lovely area, but in the cottage found that some of the crockery, cutlery and pans had to be washed before use."
Disappointed that the area was not very dog friendly, with very few dog exercising places, had to travel a fair distance to let them run free.
Thanks very much for your review. We've noted your comments and will address them immediately. With regard to the surrounding area, unfortunately we cannot allow dogs to run freely as we have other animals and there is access onto the road through the field fences. I do hope you understand. "A comfortable, cosy cottage in a lovely setting."
Had everything we needed The owners were welcoming and helpful. Wine and biscuits on the table when we arrivied. A pleasant walk through the village takes you to a friendly pub and a good village store.

"This is a lovely cottage set in the beautiful grounds of the owners property."
We came by motorcycle and the only drawback is the gravel parking near the property which is difficult on a bike. We left the bike just as you turn in to the cottage which meant it was out of view and quite safe. The property is well equipped and clean. The area is stunning and we would definitely recommend it to anyone. There is free WiFi but it was not good for streaming tv programmes but anything else was fine. The owner was very welcoming and could not have been nicer but does not interfere. If you are looking for a good base to see the Cotswolds this is it.

"This is one off the nicest places we had the pleasure of visiting it’s like having your own property."
As you drive down the drive way you are instantly transported into an another world as you are in an orchard and there are horses to greet you then you see little bit of heaven for the week. There’s so many places to visit as it all on the doorstep if you have a car and you sure are made welcome by lady of the big house jenny
