"We had a wonderful time at Tott's House."
It was a beautiful getaway, very comfortable, clean and cosy and perfect for what we needed. There were seven of us celebrating a 50th birthday, and the house was in a great location, being so near to Bath and lovely villages to explore. Thank you Chris and Lizzie, we loved it!
-
"Totts House was a great base to visit Bath via the Park and Ride, which is 20 minutes drive by car."
I would recommend the Park & Ride, if you fancy visiting Bath. I felt it was good value, and it runs regularly through the day, until about 8:30pm. The house was clean and well equipped, and in a nice, quiet village.
-
"This was one of the best eqipped houses we have stayed in, owners friendly and helpful, lovely enclosed garden, safe village hardly any traffic."
Comfy beds and welcome food hamper. Everything had been thought of would highly recommend. we had a really lovely chilled out holiday. Thankyou Chris and Lizzie x

"Totts House is a great place to stay in Cotswold."
It's location is just perfect, 20 mins to Bath and all sights around. 5 mins walk from play area, and the fields. AND 1 min walk from a local pub:). The house itself is very well equipped, it has everything you need for a stay, leaving room is so cozy and warm with a fire place. The host is so welcome and so responsive for anything you might need over your stay. Just prefect.

"A lovely little place."
Small compact and peaceful garden, lots of chattering birdsong to keep you company. A great place to chill out with friends or family. Plenty of space in the house for people to take time out, away from your loved ones when you need your own space for a while. Plenty of car parking space out front. The garage, however, is not available for use. No criticisms but scraping the barrel for comment. The garden was a good, free space for our little dog but a determined four legged friend may still be able to make a bid for freedom. Not totally escape proof for little dogs. Not a deal breaker. A lovely little village with a couple of pubs and village shops. A very friendly next door neighbour who takes out the bins and brings them back in. Thank you for that. Very close to Bath and other Cotswold towns. Next door to an RAF base which is very quiet and peaceful. Not used while we were there. A very attentive and friendly owner. Thanks for having us.

"Lovely location as described suited us as a family ."
Great pubs and food nearby friendly locals
-
"The kitchen was very well equipped with ample crockery and cutlery and the utility room great for storing bags / dog food / etc - great to have a washing machine."
The house was easy to keep warm and cosy and the dining table big enough for 6 of us. The only extra I would have liked was some hooks near bathroom radiators to dry towels. We had a kind welcome from Chris and texts to check we were ok with everything - we felt well looked after.
-
"Just returned from a 3 day stay with friends (and fur babies) at this lovely house."
Excellent communication with the owner, who made us feel very welcome. Situated in a lovely quiet village with the local pub (Fox and Hounds) on the doorstep. Great food and very friendly staff. The house is in excellent order, with nice, comfortable furniture and quality bedding/towels. A welcome pack ( fresh bread, butter, milk, orange juice, eggs, tea and various coffees had been left and greatly appreciated. Everything you need for a relaxing stay. Highly recommended and we hope to return.

"We stayed at Totts house over the Christmas week as a family of 4 and it was an excellent base for us to visit family and friends in the area."
Totts house was very well equipped and warm and the Christmas tree and welcome pack were really appreciated. Colerne is a quiet and picturesque village, great for walking and not far from Bath, Corsham and Chippenham. We would highly recommend.

"Lovely cottage in a quiet village."
It was spotless and well equipped. Great communications from the owner before and during our stay. The welcome pack was a lovely touch too. Small problem with the shower but the owner soon sorted that.
-
"Really great house with amble facilities."
Cooking equipment and serving stuff was amazing, normally even though houses can accommodate the quantity of people they don’t have the stuff you need, definitely not the case. Only thing we found was hot water for showers was a problem, would start scolding hot and then go cold very quickly. Also the en-suite shower was very weak, a bit of a struggle to wash hair. But otherwise the property was wonderful, really well maintained, wish we had needed to stay longer. Host, Chris, also excellent! Very quick to respond
-
"A superb property, spotlessly clean and very comfortable."
The owner was very friendly as was the whole community in the village. Great location, great holiday.
-
"Great location."

The owner , Chris, was very helpful with information & quick to respond to any messages. Can highly recommend this holiday cottage.

"Totts House is a great property in the small village of Colerne providing easy access to exploring the wider region."
The property was well equipped with everything we needed to get started. There were generous living spaces in addition to the 4 bedrooms and garden space too. Off street parking was a real bonus. The owner was very responsive to any enquiries we had.

"We stayed at Totts house for 3 nights whitsun weekend with our two adult children their partners plus our two grandsons age 5 and 2."
It is a lovely house in a beautiful quiet village. The welcome pack when we arrived was a nice surprise, the house was immaculate and had everything we needed for a great weekend. We visited Lacock for a day, Bath another day and on our way home from the weekend Upton house. Chris is an excellent host from the minute we booked until after we had left, no question was too much trouble . We made lots of lovely family memories over the weekend. Thank you Chris for letting us into your lovely home.

-
"After a bad start in the Previous place we had a lovely time in Totts House."
We would never have chosen to stay there as it’s a bit big for the 2 of us but I’m so glad we did. Beautiful house and a gorgeous village with a real community feel. Everybody was so friendly. Chris the owner couldn’t have been more helpful, telling us about places to visit and eat. All in all a great holiday. We hope to return. Sarah and David

"The house is comfortable and has all the amenities required for a holiday."
It's in a quiet village with some local shops and pubs. The owners were easy to contact, not that we needed to. They sent a text to check that everything was ok, which it was. I would recommend this property.

Just as described. Everything provided that you would need for a comfortable stay. Hosts were brilliant. Would definitely recommend.

"Simply the best."
Excellent accommodation and kind caring hosts in Chris and Lizzie. Spacious and well equipped kitchen . Enough dishwasher tablets for the whole weeks stay (other locations have generally only supplied a couple of tablets). Spacious lounge, comfortable seating, a good place to relaxed. Three generations stayed for a weeks break - plenty of room both inside and outside. Parking was good too. We would highly recommend Totts House as a place to stay.
-
"The owners were so helpful and kept in contact with us the whole weekend."
The property was lovely - very clean and beautifully laid out. The extra blankets downstairs were a real bonus for our evening in and the toiletries in the bathroom as well as the bread and milk that was brought in for us , all made this a special stay. Also parking easily for three cars ! Many thanks to the owners for sharing their home with us!
-

The garden is enclosed properly which was reassuring for us with the dogs. The hosts is attentive via phone without being intrusive and the extra touches - welcome pack for example - were much appreciated. The area is just beautiful - great walks straight out of the door, people so friendly, we will plan to revisit sometime.

"A really lovely property in a lovely area."
There were 5 adults and a dog in our party and the property was spacious, well set out, comfortable and had everything you would need - the kitchen just seemed to have everything and more. Chris and Lizzie were amazing hosts and nothing was too much trouble - we had a tiny issue with the shower and Lizzie had it sorted straightaway. A fantastic place to stay and we will definitely return again.
-
"Lovely house, beautiful area, friendly, helpful hosts."
-
"So much right about this place, but 2 silly things not right."
1. Squeaky floorbords upstairs, easy to fix so why not. 2. Good double oven but could not find a baking tray that would fit. Fix those two things and we would rate it 10/10.
Hi Bill Chip board floorboard is so difficult to stop Squeaking!!! There are many oven trays in the cupboard next to the fridge ! People have cooked for parties of 8 using both ovens ! As I say in my introduction note if you need anything let us know ! Nothing is a problem to get if you had let us know !!! Appreciate the Feedback Bill and will look and do are upmost to rectify your comments ! Regards Chris Property Owner

Very spacious, comfortable and was well equipped. The host was very helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had. The setting is perfect for walking and the village has two very useful, well stocked stores. I would definitely book again if wanting to stay in the area.

-
"This house is absolutely brilliant."
Having been slightly nervous after a not so successful Sykes stay over Christmas, I was more than pleasantly surprised to find clean, comfy beds, a very well equipped kitchen, plenty of room, good bathrooms, good quality towels, even toiletries in the bathrooms too!! Our dogs LOVED the warm dog shower in the garden. This is a fantastic place to stay and I would highly recommend it. The 6 Bells pub in the village was lovely and very welcoming, lots of dog walks nearby as well as the usual tourist attractions of Bath and Bradford on Avon. Lovely welcome from owners who were more than happy to help with any issues but also didn’t invade!! Chris and Lizzie you have absolutely got this right!! Well done and Thankyou xx
-
"Property owner went above and beyond to make our stay great."
Even helping to arrange flowers for a birthday surprise.
-
"Totts House is a lovely well equipped home and a great base for seeing the Cotswolds."
The owners were welcoming and provided a much appreciated welcome pack, including fresh bread and local eggs. There was plenty of space for us and our three teenagers and the wifi was a definite bonus, as was the Smart TV. The pub across the road was friendly and welcoming and serves good value traditional pub fayre, and is dog friendly. We would definitely recommend Totts House for a larger family, and had a wonderful time.
-
"The cottage was lovely and very very well equipped."
The owners were very helpful when we contacted them. The decor and furniture was modern and very comfortable. One suggestion is that, as it is a dog friendly cottage, it would be beneficial if there was more information, routes etc, on local walks in the immediate area.
-
"We stayed at Totts house for 2 nights and from the minute we booked it we received 5* service from Chris."
It’s a beautiful house in a lovely location which had 2 pubs within a stones throw. The fox and hounds across the road is a lovely pub with great food at very reasonable prices. The finer details like fresh bread, milk, orange, butter, eggs that was left for us to use really made us feel welcome & a small touch that made all the difference. Perfect location for Bath & smaller towns near by (Bradford on Avon) was lovely for a walk with our family. On the morning of check out Chris messaged to say no need to rush off and use the house for as long as we wanted which was perfect for us with 2 small children. Can’t thank Chris enough for letting us spend the perfect weekend in his lovely property.
-
"A great property to stay in, in a good location."
Owners were very attentive with communication. would highly recommend
-
"Totts House is a lovely house in a very lovely village."
The facilities in the house are everything you could need and a lot more, it's definitely not your average holiday let, this is way ahead of a lot of places in terms of quality of the property, furniture, fittings, even day to day things like cutlery and crockery are good quality Chris, the owner is so helpful and keeps you up to date about your stay and is always available if you need him Loads of parking for 2-3 cars on the drive so you don't have to park on the narrow village main road. The village is just the prettiest place too, pure chocolate box Cotswold charm If you're thinking of staying in this area, look no further

"Extremely comfortable house with everything you need to have a super holiday in a wonderful village with lots to do close by."
The hosts were helpful without being intrusive. A wonderful welcome pack of goodies on arrival was a very thoughtful gesture. Plus the recommendation of where to eat was helpful. We loved the Fox and House, just across the road serving excellent food with great service Thanks for a great holiday!
-

"We had a short break 28 May - 4 June in Colerne."
Our party was Grandparents, parents and grandchildren (8). The village has a good playground and recreation park each end of the village which we made good use of, lovely walks and friendly residents. The Fox and Hounds across the road is not recommended (food average, staff disinterested). We wanted to try The Six Bells but they were closed Bank Holiday Monday and not serving food all week, which was disappointing, as the pub and garden looked very appealing. We visited towns and villages further afield and found more nice walks, scenery, good pubs and food etc. Chris Lilley (the owner of Totts House) was very friendly and helpful and made our stay very enjoyable. The accommodation is spacious, comfortable and the kitchen/diner is well kitted out. The garden is pleasant and secluded. The only significant issues we had was a low flow/cold shower in the ensuite which Chris dealt with promptly, replacing the shower with a higher spec model and the adults had problems sleeping owing to being too hot - we discovered on departure that the duvets were winter rated 10.5 tog. Chris promised to address this. Overall the accommodation was excellent and recommended for a quiet relaxing break. Roger Metcalfe
