  • "As we had to postpone our original booking here because of a bereavement, the owners, Mr &Mrs Harris spoke to us and agreed a different date although they would be away at the time, just sorry we didn't meet them."

The annexe was perfect for us, very clean and comfortable with everything we needed for a week's stay. We were there at the end of October and it would be ideal for the Summer too. The village is lovely, though no facilities there and is about 5 miles from Ross on Wye and Monmouth, so any shopping was in either place as no shops in Llangaran. Lots of things to do nearby including the stunning views of the Wye from Symonds Yat and English Heritage Goodrich Castle. We have camped and caravaned for 55 years and giving that up is hard, but this little annexe was described as smaller than expected one reviewer, but we loved it as it was closer to caravan living with added luxuries and no setting up. The only issue we have is with Sykes as we had to pay £70 insurance and booking fees again when transferring the booking to a later date...a bit mean I think.

A cute little place, was good for everything you needed. Nice little touch of milk, bread and butter. If it was mine then I might up date the crockery and table mats but that’s it really. Well looked after.

  • "Small cosy accommodation in an excellent location."

Lots of walks in the Forest of Dean and by the River Wye with the dog. Castles , Churches and Cider farms to visit. Despite the heat at the start of the week it was possible to keep the accommodation cool . I will visit again.

However the pictures gave the impression of a larger dwe.Perhaps Sykes could give a square footage measurement for reference. But certainly no problems with the place everything you need was there and it was spotless. So we would recommend this place to others

  • "Another Lovely Visit It was our second visit to Trecilla House Annexe and we had another lovely stay."

Helen and Peter are very welcoming hosts, the place is spotlessly clean, the bed very comfortable and the countryside is beautiful and peaceful. The sun shone so we were able to have virtually all our meals outside. A perfect location to explore the Welsh borders, the border castles and lots of interesting Herefordshire churches as well as the Wye Valley. We can wholeheartedly recommend this as a place to stay and have every intention of making a third visit.

The Annexe is beautifully clean and no expense has been spared on the facilities and equipment. Many good starting points for walks within a short drive. However, the narrow green lanes leading from the cottage are not ideal for evening strolls or dog walking, a common issue for cottages in isolated peaceful locations.

  • "We had a lovely stay."

The Annex is bright and airy, has everything you need and is very well designed. The patio area is just outside the kitchen and we had most of our meals outside as the weather was good. Helen cooked us a delicious meal – her pastry is simply superb! Helen and Peter were so helpful and attentive, in a very un-intrusive way so the Annex still felt very private. It’s a beautiful area and we will definitely return.

  • "Lovely comfortable and quiet accommodation with very helpful owners."

Was just a little smaller than the photos implied, which meant the living and kitchen areas were a bit cramped. However the bedroom and bathroom were fine with a very good shower. Overall it was fine as you adapt to it very quickly! Helen does home cooking on request which was very good, and as it was my birthday she made me a beautiful birthday cake too. We enjoyed our stay very much despite the rapidly changing situation with the virus.
