"We really enjoyed our stay."
The cottage was clean and well-kept, in a peaceful location with great views. It gave us an excellent base for visiting the surrounding area.
-
"Comfortable cottage."
Beautiful views across the countryside. Quiet surroundings. Clean and tidy cottage. Old cottage with beams so if you are tall be aware of surroundings.
-
"Although we thoroughly enjoyed our stay the cottage it is in need of refurbishment."
There was a hole in the kitchen ceiling, there was flaking paint in the recess of the window in the kitchen, the bathroom ceiling had flaking paint coming from it and the mastic around the shower, bath, sink etc looked like a two year old had done it.
-
"We had a lovely time spent at Cotswold View."
The cottage was ideal. We especially loved the garden and view. We were made very welcome by Mr Burrows. The cottage had all that we needed, it was very cosy and warm.
-
"We had an absolutely smashing week at Cotswold View."
I can only congratulate Mr Burrows on the work he has put in and the tasteful and thorough plans he has for the rest of the Complex - as I believe it's called! As for Cotswold View - What a view, what a smashing garden to look out on - everything was catered for. Thanks, Mr B., we shall treasure the memory.
-
"We enjoyed staying at Cotswold View."
Excellent accommodation and conveniently situated to explore all that the Cotswolds has to offer.
-
"Lovely cosy cottage in an ideal location for touring the Cotswolds."
It would have been useful to have instructions for some of the facilities (e.g. WiFi, heating, shower, rubbish & recycling).
-
"Owner was both respectful of our personal space and very helpful."
An ideal host in every way. It is not the most luxurious cottage but it was exactly as it was advertised. We got what we expected and we were very satisfied.
-
"Another really enjoyable stay in Cotswold View."
A lovely, warm little cottage with comfortable beds, a lovely log fire and everything you need for a great break away from home.
-
"Convenient location for many tourist attractions."
Cottage was well-equipped and had everything we needed. Microwave was found to be non-functional on first day, but owner ordered new one immediately, which was delivered a couple of days later. Would certainly return!
-
"Lovely view from the back of the property."
Central location for NT properties and Stratford upon Avon. Would have liked a folder of information on how things worked, recycling and places to visit, restaurants, supermarkets etc and maybe a starter pack of tea, coffee, milk would have been useful as we arrived late. If you get the chance go to the Regal art deco cinema in Evesham for coffee and biscuits performances.
-
"Very nice clean and tidy cottage."
All necessary items provided. Beautiful view. Comfortable Bed. Parking.
-
"Ideal stay at a lovely cottage conveniently located in a quiet location just outside Stratford on Avon."
Well equipped with most things needed on holiday. Soon sorted out shower and oven. Comfortable and immaculately clean. Gorgeous view from the back garden. Waitrose a few minutes down the road.
-
"Had a lovely weekend at Cotswold view, would definitely recommend."
-
"Thank you for a lovely stay in a beautiful cottage which had everything we needed and was very comfortable and charming."
You went above and beyond, coming out to show us the way at 1 in the morning, that was incredibly kind. Will recommend to friends and family.
-
"We had a lovely stay at Cotswold View."
The cottage was very clean, the bedding appeared to be new and the bed was very comfortable. The patio had fabulous views and when the sun shone we took advantage of this. We had to ask Mr Burrows to show us how to use the oven and shower as no instructions. He was very accommodating and came at once to see us. I was loathe to contact him as he is a busy farmer. An instruction booklet would have alleviated this problem for us and him. We would definitely stay here again.
-
"The cottage was lovely and everything we could have wanted in quiet peaceful location, yet near to great attractions."
Our only complaint was that there was no file with instructions as to how to work the cooker or shower, where the shared laundry facilities was located, where the nearest supermarket, doctors surgery or hospital A and E were or leaflets about local pub meals, attractions etc. it therefore took us a couple of days to find the things we wanted or needed which could have saved time on a short break.
-
"Smooth process facilities good Idyllic location"
-
"Beautiful view, cosy and clean cottage."
Warm welcome after no answer to the door, but he is a busy farmer so was understandable. Really enjoyed the dawn chorus and peace and quiet.log burner was lovely and plenty of kindling and logs provided by owner. Comfy bed with crisp clean sheets, fabulous waterfall shower and good reliable WiFi. Nothing we did not like. If I was to nit pick them welcome milk and some basic essentials would have been nice, miles from the nearest shop and after a very long drive the ability to make a cuppa would be appreciated by people less organised than us (we had taken our own). And instructions on using the oven etc( we figured it out after some faffing as we don't cook on electric ast home. Otherwise perfect and will visit again

"Cottage was very clean and comfortable, adequately provided with what we needed for mealtimes."
It would have been helpful to have instructions for use of shower, but owner was abe to help with that. It would also have been helpful to know that there was a big Waitrose store in the Rosebird Centre and how to get there. We only discovered in towards the end of the holiday.
-
"A few more cleaning products and some extra towels would not go amiss."
Overall a good cottage in a splendid location.
-
"We had a great couple of weeks at Cotswold View."
It was very relaxing and very quiet, everything was to hand and the owners were there if needed. Plenty to do in Stratford upon Avon and lovely cafes and pubs close by. The sounds of the countryside added to the ambiance. We will definitely not hesitate returning in the future.
-
"The cottage is fabulous and the views are fantastic so much so that we have booked another 2 week stay."
-
"Cotswold view is a lovely cottage with fantastic views over the surrounding areas and over the Cotswolds."
Very peaceful and relaxing & spotlessly clean. The owners are there if needed but not intrusive and are very accommodating. We will definitely not hesitate returning in the future.
-
"A lovely cottage, spotlessly clean and a warm welcome on arrival from the owner."
Well equipped and plenty logs and kindling supplied for the woodburner which was fabulous. The bed was super comfy with crisp white linen and very warm and snug. Even though the cottage is on a working farm it is a very peaceful and relaxing location. The pub in the village at Clifford Chambers did a great carvery Sunday lunch but we preferred The Bell Inn at Welford for a couple of evening meals out. Plenty to do round and about or further afield. Bourton on the Water a favourite for us aswell as Stratford-upon-Avon itself and all things Shakespeare. The nearby garden centre made a great place for breakfast on our last day before our journey home. Overall an excellent cottage and on our "must return" list.
-
"Have stayed in Clifford View a few times now and love it."
You always get a lovely welcome to this cosy little cottage. Always beautifully clean with comfortable beds. We had a roaring fire every evening which was an added bonus. Plenty of logs were left for our use. Would not hesitate to recommend . We had a lovely week.
-
"Fantastic location with great views."
A perfect stay.
-
"Cotswold View is a lovely holiday cottage."
There is indeed a beautiful view and it provides easy access to Stratford and the Cotswolds. It was a very comfortable base to return to after our busy days. We would happily stay there again.
-
"Lovely place."
Living room great & beds very comfortable .The family who own the farm were extremely friendly. A fantastic sheep farm well run by the sons. lots going on to interest me.
-
"A lovely warm welcome on arrival."
Well equipped and clean cottage with beautiful views. Very restful. Would recommend this property.
-
"Lovely cottage, great views, everything you could possibly need."
Thank you!
-
"Cottage was very comfortable & clean."
Only negative was the aerial on wall adjacent to our bedroom was loose so we had a couple of disturbed nights as when it was windy it kept banging on the wall.Which was very annoying.
-
"The picture is not correct, it is cotswold view from the rear of house, when you arrive you are looking at the main house from the front and no cottage on it's right as you look at it."
When you walk around you still cannot see the cottage as a brick building is in the way, only when you walk to the end of said building their is a sign saying Cotswold cottage, this needs to be moved to the left so when you at the top looking down you can see the sign.
-
"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cotswold View for the week."
Lovely cosy cottage with great views over the fields of sheep from the garden. Short drive to Stratford upon Avon. Would highly recommend The Bell at Welford on Avon for pub food. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Loved seeing the little lambs every morning. Will definitely stay again.
-
"Wonderful week in a super cottage, all topped-off by glorious weather."
-
"I had another very lovely visit to Clifford view and can’t wait for the next one."
Loved our welcome from Mrs Burrows. Once again the cottage was spotless and very comfortable. Lovely view with the added bonus of new lambs in the field this time. My friend and I had a lovely time thank you.
-
"An excellent base for experiencing the Stratford upon Avon area."
-
"We absolutely loved our stay!"
The cottage was so comfortable with a beautiful log fire. Wonderful views. Beds comfy with very nice bed linen and we loved the big fluffy towels! Our welcome from Mrs Burrows was so warm so a great start to our break. We will definitely be back. Loved it!
-
"This is my 4th stay at this cottage, I always like to stay here whenever I am traveling down for work event."
Cottage is so beautiful and unique and having a log fire makes it even more special. Also the bathroom has a super shower and a bath which is wonderful. It has everything you need and the nature and peace and quiet is a delight. I love everything about this place and wil always be back. Mr Burrows and his mum are always so welcoming. Thank you. You won't regret booking here. I highly recommend.
-
"Very comfortable quiet cottage with a beautiful view."
It was very central for all the places we wanted to visit. The owners were very helpful.
-
"The cottage was certainly ok but somewhat under equipped."
Some contact with the owners or appliance leaflets etc would have been helpful. The garden area was a bit scruffy and although there were a couple of decent garden chairs it would have been nice to have a small table and chairs to be able to eat outside. The cottage is more spacious than it appears from the photographs.
-
"Warm welcome."
Accommodation better than expected. Nice large sitting room /eating area. A TV and DVD that we were able to operate very easily. Attractive views and comfortable and private sitting out area. New looking bathroom and efficient shower. Clearly labelled bins for recycling just outside door.
-
"A good sized cottage with beautiful views from the garden, parking was easy and very handy for Stratford."
Some egg cups and a a jug and a sieve would have been useful in the kitchen for breakfast. There was plenty of hot water but the central heating was a bit erratic, I did leave a message regarding this with the owner but unfortunately there was no follow up.
-
"The cottage had a wonderful view over farmland."
Very quiet, fully equipped and only 3 miles from Stratford. An ideal place to go for touring Cotswolds villages and Warwick. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful.
-
"We had a lovely time at the cottage we stayed at."
Every thing was close by, so we did not have to drive too far. The cottage was lovely and clean every thing was there we needed. Will go back next year. Many thanks to Sykescottage and also to the people where we stayed.
-
"Really lovely cottage, comfortable beds and fabulous view from the garden"
-
"The cottage was very-well equipped and extremely comfortable."
There was adequate kitchen equipment, but perhaps one or two additions could be helpful, although I realise that different people have different expectations. There was a great welcome, and the location was peaceful and restful.
-
"Lovely location"
-
"A lovely cottage which perfectly suited my requirements."
Extra touches like the fridge being stocked with a few of both essentials and luxuries, and seasonally relevant ornaments around the house made me feel especially welcomed and cemented this cottage as a good choice.
-
"The very friendly owner met us on arrival, the cottage was spotlessly clean with a beautiful view."
Very relaxing week.
-
"No— this is the second time we have stayed at Clifford Chambers and found Cotswold View and The Dairy very comfortable and well equipped."
Waitrose is just down the road and trips into Stratford and to NT places were easy. You do need a car. Owners are very welcoming.
-
"We were expecting a rather small cottage but the reality was a spacious downstairs room and two bedrooms of a reasonable size (1 double and 1 single)."
The bathroom was small but very well set out. It seemed that almost all items required had been provided and overall the comfort and facilities led to a very pleasing stay. One of the best, this one!
-
"This year June/July 2019, was our 4th visit to Cotswold View."
As ever we enjoyed our week & it was so good to see Mrs Burrows and her radiant welcoming smile. We will return !
-
"Wonderfull!"
Brandnew house, near Stratford upon Avon, with lovely view on Cotwolds from well situatef terrace. Washingmachine and dryer in separate room outside the cottage. Bathroom perfect. Clean, comfortable. Supermarket nearby, as well as The New Inn for a drink, lunch or diner. Good location for trips (Stratford uA, Oxford). Very nice people. Are there for you if you need them.
-
"Very peaceful stay."
Very convenient for Cotswolds locations.
-
"The cottage was clean and beyond expectations."
The view of the countryside from the window was good to see every morning and having your own section of garden with a patio was a bonus. The owners are polite and made us feel comfortable. Although the cottage is in the countryside it is only a relatively short. distance from Stratford. I can recommend this cottage without any reservations.
-
"This cottage was a fairly last minute choice, which wasn't that expensive, so I'm not sure what we were expecting."
However, when we arrived we were very pleased, as the cottage was actually more spacious and comfortable than it ;looked online. It had great views from the kitchen window and would be a really lovely place to visit in summer. The beds were very comfortable and helped towards a good night's sleep. Also the cottage is in a very convenient position for all Warwickshire has to offer and also for the Cotswolds. Perhaps the only downside was that the boiler seems to be housed in the owner's cottage next door and could be heard in the bedroom sometimes at night (may not bother you if you're not a light sleeper) Otherwise really good and enjoyable. Would definitely book again
-
"The cottage was superb in every way: clean, comfortable and everything worked perfectly."
Examples: fabulous shower, loads of extra towels, lovely (if compact) kitchen, wi-fi was really fast, DVD linked efficiently to the TV., sofa/armchair very comfortable, cottage easy to find, proper road into the farm, excellent parking facilities. All-in-all a perfect cottage.
-
"This is our second visit to "Cotswold View" & it was such a pleasure to return."
Mr's Burrows was waiting once more to greet us with her radiant smile. We will return !
-
"Very comfortable and the views were beautiful."
Loads of places to eat and to visit. Would love to go back again.

"An excellent cottage in a lovely location for exploring the area."
It was clean, very well equipped with a warm welcome and milk and fresh eggs in the fridge.
-
"As with all our sykes holidays we have had there is not one we have not enjoyed and such friendly people ."
....we would strongly recommend anyone to try and book one there are so many locations around the country ...cottages in the town centres and out in the countryside...you will not be disappointed. ...next one for us will be September...
-
"An extremely comfortable cottage, owners were very welcoming and helpful and we would certainly return and recommend to others."

A great base from which to explore the area.

Owners very helpful and friendly. Ideal holiday cottage for a quiet break in an interesting part of the country.
-
"A very nice, comfortable stay."
Very clean and quite well equipped - really appreciated the milk and eggs on arrival. Friendly and helpful owners. My only suggestion would be slightly clearer signage from the road, apart from that, we would certainly come back again. Thank you!
