"The Old Stables is a cosy and comfortable cottage."
It has high quality furnishings, the sofas are extremely comfty and there is a nice big tv! We appreciated the eco friendly toiletries and coffee cake on arrival! We made good use of the fire although we came in July, it was a cold week! The pub next door is lovely with great food! We also used their pizza takeaway service. Our only issue is that there is no freezer, just a fridge. One of our daughters is disabled and requires a daily injection that needs to be kept in the fridge. So we needed to freeze an ice pack for travelling back and couldn’t do this. Of course, this also meant we couldn’t but any frozen food.
Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. We're glad you found the cottage to be comfortable and enjoyed your stay. We're sorry to hear that you were inconvenienced due to the lack of a freezer and will pass on your comments to the owner. We hope this didn't impact your stay. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

"We enjoyed our stay at the OLd Stables enormously ."
We were intrigued by the remodelling of the structure from its original purpose; the kitchen, comprehensive, small but perfectly formed. The bathroom with its stone pebble wash basin held our interest. We’ll get one of those. The aircon and heating system were a puzzle for a while. Very modern, but once sussed out gave every combination of heating you could want. I have to mention the ample, generous provision of consumable items. Anything you could forget to bring was there to cover the gaps. More in fact than we could use. A memorable Genoa cake! Much appreciated. Comfortable beds, ample parking, nice pub next door. Pets, too, well catered for. A unique location, neat to Castle Combe, handy for Bath. A lovely calming break.

"Very comfortable bed and nice bedroom although I wouldn’t have liked to use the 2nd bedroom which had no outside windows."
Amazingly well equipped kitchen (apart from no dishwasher) but quite challenging to use as it’s a very cramped space. The only really irritating point is the ridiculously small bathroom sink which is almost impossible to use without splashing water everywhere. Easy parking directly outside. In hot weather it would be quite a nice outdoor space if it was to be tidied up a bit.
Thank you for your comments regarding your stay at The Old Stables. It's lovely to hear you enjoyed the comfortable beds!. We will pass on your comment to the owner about the bathroom sink and we hope to welcome you back again in the future. Kind regards Manor Cottages Property Owner
