  • "The cottage is lovely and well equipped."

    There is no parking as stated but we had no issues finding somewhere to park just up the road in the village. There is a pay & display carpark opposite the cottage if you need to park close by to unload/load. The only issue is the road at the front is very noisy and there's no double glazing, some thick curtains in the front windows/door might help to deaden the noise a bit.

  • "The mattresses were uncomfortable."

    Parking is a big issues. The bins were filled to capacity and were not emptied so had nowhere to put our rubbish on the check out day. The area outside the back gate is cluttered with rubbish which has not been cleared for possibly months. The house is not child friendly due to the stairs leading to the bedrooms and the second room's close proximity to the stairs. On the positive side, the house interior was clean and had all the basic necessities provided even biscuits..The location is excellent for exploring and visitigf the wildlife park.

  • "The cottage was lovely but the lack of parking was a real negative as it turns out Lechlade is a horror for day/ night parking."

    You need to have whomever cleans the cottage take away the recycling and rubbish. New tenants should gave to face overflowing bins outside the back door

  • "Everything in the property was lovely."

    All clean and comfortable, everything seemed brand new and very positive. Only had a problem with parking, as just nowhere around, which is not the owners fault, I had to walk about a mile and a half to find anywhere, as no where outside and on a busy road. Plus on opening the back gate lots of rubbish piled up and scattered around from other properties, once again not the owners fault.

  • "Fabulous cottage, very well presented with a well stocked kitchen and lovely bedrooms."

    Only a couple of minor issues, no light to the front of the property making the steps a little tricky, and unfortunately there is a lot of rubbish at the rear of the house making it impossible to use the rear gate which was a shame. However I will be booking the cottage again in the future.

  • "Great holiday."

    The cottage was ideal and comfortable. having an enclosed garden was lovely to sit out in and Louis, our Cockapoo, loved the free space. The lounge needs a couple of lamps to avoid the overhead light being on. As the light was going earlier we solved this by using the upstairs lamps. They were put back before we left! Certainly recommend to anyone.

  • "Lovely cottage, clean, everything you need."

    Little welcome gifts of milk, biscuits and things like dishwasher tablets, bin bags, coffee, tea etc. Had a lovely comfy homely stay. Would love to go back. Highly recommended

    Beautifully furnished and well equipped, just right for a small family or a couples weekend away. Right next to the river, perfect for an early morning or late afternoon stroll. Beautiful village with lots of options for meals and taking in the scenery.

LECHLADE-ON-THAMES

Cirencester 13 miles; Oxford 24.5 miles.

The popular riverside market town of Lechlade lies on the edge of the southern Cotswolds and has many traditional pubs, antique shops, a Londis and a Co-operative including a fuel station. Lechlade is also home to the infamous Christmas shop (“Where it’s Christmas all year round”) and offers many river-based activities with River Thames trips available throughout the summer season. Lechlade is steeped in history and is an excellent base for many Cotswold and River Thames walks, including the Thames Path, plus excellent fly fishing is also on offer and the town plays host to many festivals throughout the year, including the annual three day Lechlade Music Festival, featuring over 80 bands and performers.
