  • "A beautifully presented and well equipped holiday cottage which has been renovated to a very high standard."

Everything was spotlessly clean with clear instructions on all appliances. Spacious bedrooms and comfortable beds and a lovely cosy sitting room. Good location for exploring Southern Cotswold villages, Bath and Bristol. Highly recommended!

The property was spotlessly clean and fully equipped with everything you could need. Great location and walking distance to Wotton Under Edge town. Lovely to read the story of the owners family, and the cottage, and the pride the owner has in sharing this.

We didn't take the dog in the end and I'm glad as it was a very pristine place and we wouldn't have wanted muddy paws everywhere. Great location for walking and sightseeing

  • "A beautifully modernised cottage, very convenient for the shops in Wotton - just a 10-15 minute walk."

We stayed in January to meet up with family nearby, when the temperatures were around freezing, but the heating in this cottage kept us lovely and warm at all times. Probably the best appointed holiday home we've ever stayed in. As mentioned in the description, the stairs are a bit steep and twisty, but there's a sturdy handrail to hold on to as you go up and down so they didn't cause us a problem (we are in our 70s). A few low beams and doorways to watch out for especially if you're a bit on the tall side, but at the end of the day it's an old cottage and very cosy inside. Will definitely book again when we need to be in the area.

Thank you Robert for taking the time to write such an informative review. I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay in spite of the cold weather. We look forward to welcoming you again soon. Best wishes Tanis Property Owner

We have relations nearby but realise now there are plenty of places to visit in the area ..we walked from Wooton along the Cotswold way. The cottage had plenty of hot water and was warm and comfortable in the winter months. We liked it so much that we have already booked again.

Thank you Lucy, I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay and discovered some of the lovely walks in the area. Thomas Cottage looks forward to welcoming you back in the New Year. Best Wishes Tanis Property Owner

  • "This cottage is excellent in every way - clean, comfortable, well-equipped, attractive, quiet yet conveniently located."

Highly recommended. This corner of Gloucestershire is less well known than the rest of the Cotswolds; it is surprisingly hilly but also very lovely. Nailsworth, Tetbury, Chipping Sodbury are lovely little towns close-by. Tortworth has a super hotel and good farm shop. Bristol and Bath are easily accessed too. Newark Park [NT] has a fascinating house and lots of walking opportunities. Lots of holiday possibilities.

Thank you for leaving such lovely feedback David. We really appreciate it. I am so pleased you liked the cottage and managed to visit so many lovely places during your stay. We hope to welcome you again soon at Thomas Cottage. Best wishes Tanis Property Owner

Ideal location for travelling to places we wanted to visit, including Cotswold wildlife park and a hidden find; Cotswolds sculpture park. Nice town centre with yummy bakeries, had amazing fish and chips from the chip shop!

Hi Kareena, We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and managed to visit so many local attractions. So sorry to hear the First Aid Kit was needed. I hope it quickly resolved the problem and would like to thank you for replenishing the kit. It was very thoughtful and much appreciated. Best wishes Tanis Property Owner

  • "Thomas Cottage is a beautiful and comfortable property."

The kitchen was well provisioned and the whole property was furnished to a very high spec. The only minor surprising downside is that we couldn't find any kitchen scales. (not relevant to property but to the agents - we would have liked to be able to send a message direct to the owner but there was no way to do that)

Thank you Adrian for your feedback. I am so pleased you liked the cottage and have now added scales to the kitchen pack. I am sorry you were unable to contact me to raise the issue, my number normally sits on the table next to the Wi Fi router. I will ask the cleaners to investigate. Thanking you again for your feedback. We hope to welcome you again very soon at Thomas Cottage. Kind regards Tanis Property Owner

  • "Everything was perfect."

Best holiday rental/ airbnb/ VRBO/ hotel I’ve ever stayed in (and we stay in a LOT!) Every little detail had been taken care of. They went out of their way to make it extra comfortable and convenient. From snacks and milk to lovely bedding and towels. Was very special to be within a stones throw of my family. Neighbor is very nice. I was amused to find out my brother had lived there years ago! I so hope this property will always available as a rental, I can not recommend it enough.

The cottage has everything you could possibly need, even down to human and doggie treats, very kind and thank you Tanis. Comfort is the priority of the owner with well thought of furnishings. I I must also praise the owner for having a plug socket near to a mirror for hair drying, so many places do not ensure this, for us women it is a necessity! We will definitely go back there. It's ideal for the surrounding area, the Cotswold Way which is on the doorstep and lovely Bourton-on-the-Water not too far away. Thank you Tanis
