  • "Elm End is very well equipped and very comfortable, quite exceptionally so."

The property is part of a beautifully converted range of buildings on a farm, surrounded by well tended gardens and fine rolling pastures, where sheep are grazing. Elm End enjoys complete peace and quiet, and the Cotswold Hills, visible from the property, are readily accessible. There are several fascinating National Trust houses nearby, and the nearest town, Tewkesbury, is full of history and interest, including the magnificent Abbey. The owner of Elm End, Anne, takes personal charge of the comfort and well-being of her visitors, and we were impressed by her kindness and very rapidly began to see her as a friend. We should very much like to return, and we both agree that Elm End is the very best self-catering place we have ever stayed in; a serious accolade, as we have stayed in dozens of different locations over many years.
