  • "There is always the concern that when you have booked a holiday property at a good price that you have overlooked something."

Turned out that with the Hayloft that was not the issue, The Hayloft was better than the picture showed, every room (there are 3 Lounge\Kitchen\entrance hall, Bedroom & Bathroom) have been well fitted out with quality items and well appointed. The Hayloft is remote, 2 miles from the nearest Pub\Shop, no public transport, a car is a must but that is not to say you can not walk or cycle the country lanes around the property. Being remote it is so peaceful, lovely large garden (other than the background noise of the chickens and goose). Can not recommend this holiday home more

  • "My wife and I recently had a short break at The Hayloft and it was delightful from start to finish."

The property was well equipped and spotlessly clean. The beds and sofas were particularly comfortable, and the owners cat and dogs were adorable. It was a delight to sit out on the balcony and enjoy a glass of wine each evening whilst admiring the beautiful setting. We hope to be able to return sometime.

  • "Lovely accommodation, set in the owner's beautiful gardens in a very peaceful location."

The accommodation was extremely comfortable and we didn't want for anything! The balcony is great for sitting out and the amount of stars visible on a clear night is breathtaking! We visited relatives so didn't have much time for sightseeing but the area is beautiful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to other couples and hope to be able to return one day. Thank you for the welcome pack too - wonderful to eat the eggs of the chickens that we saw each day

  • "We had a lovely stay in The Hayloft."

Beautiful gardens and seating area. We had an area for ourselves. Roaming the rest was discouraged. Fortunately the weather was good and we could eat Al fresco on the small verandah each evening and sometimes breakfast too. We were left alone which was absolutely what we wanted, after the initial chat on the first evening during our meal. Bed was a little hard for us, bed linen worn in places and as someone else mentioned the duvet far too thick and heavy for summer. We stripped the bed at the end as requested. The furniture was easy enough to move round in the small lounge space, sofa to face tv but tv aerial on a short wire so that was the extent. Smart TV but couldn't connect to Netflix etc after day one it disappeared. Chickens roam free, lovely but watch your feet on the path! We were woken early each morning by the cars going over the gravel drive. Nice welcome pack of wine, milk and fresh eggs. Thank you. We loved the area, plenty of National Trust places and gardens to visit. Most pubs and cafès seem to close on Mondays. We went to the Major's Arms for a drink on Friday, great atmosphere and fantastic views from the beer garden. We would like to return to the Hayloft.

  • "Beautiful Setting, Immaculate property and friendly, helpful hosts - what was there not to love."

I would highly recommend, this area, it was a hidden gem as the location allowed for all the three counties to be explored with great sites to be enjoyed, with owner giving great recommendations for place to visit. To then come back to the property, that offered everything needed, spectacularly clean, well designed and in the most magnificent setting with wildlife on the doorstep. Additionally the warm welcome of local produce and attention to details that a holiday maker would need was perfect. I would highly recommend and would go back again, to even just rest and relax at the property without leaving its vista.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the area. Wouldn't hesitate to re-book and would recommend to others. Just a few suggestions - a grab handle would make it safer/easier for getting in and out of the bath and a fixed shower caddy. Also a larger doormat would reduce the worry of getting the carpet dirty.

A minor detail - in all other properties there has been a folder with information about nearest shop/supermarkets, emergency numbers places of interest etc. this would have been helpful. However, we thoroughly enjoyed the welcome pack.

  • "Our stay in 'The Hayloft' was blessed with good weather and we made the most of the location by visiting many of the local towns and attractions."

The accommodation itself is set right back from the road and you hear very little traffic noise - partly because there is very little traffic! I will sum up our experience with the good and not-so-good points relating to the Hayloft itself: + A good-sized and well-equipped bathroom. + Plenty of USB-fitted sockets to charge your portable devices. + A very good bottle of wine was provided as part of the 'welcome package' - my partner said the wine was was "just about perfect". + Comfortable settee and a spacious super-king-size bed. - Parking space signage unclear - the sign that looks like a direction arrow to the flat is where you are expected to park. I am not very good at intuition, especially in an unfamiliar place, and prefer clear and unambiguous signs. - To watch TV whilst sitting on the settee you have to move either the TV or the settee - not ideal! - There were not really enough mugs or glasses supplied in the property. This means running the dishwasher more often than should be necessary, as you soon run out of both. - During the whole stay I felt we were rather unwelcome on the property.

I’m very sorry Mr Arnold felt unwelcome. We do our best to make all our guests feel as welcome as possible but if there is anything further he feels we should have done, I’d be delighted to hear from him. I go and meet every guest if possible to make sure that they have found everything ok and to explain that we have deliberately made the positioning of the furniture flexible as everyone has a different view about how it should be arranged. If he didn’t want to move the sofa, then the tv has casters, a long lead and can be moved to any position in the room. We supply 2 of everything per guest. We live next door and all guests have my phone number if they have any problems or queries. We do not bother guests during their stay as we will feel they are on holiday and have come to a venue like this to get away from it all. Property Owner

  • "Lovely property."

Beautiful surroundings especially in the autumn with all the apple and pear trees and colours. The welcome pack contained a bottle of wine, milk, fresh fruit from the trees in the garden and eggs from the chickens. Really comfy bed and the shower was great, just what you need to wake up in the morning. Only downside was my husband bumped his head a couple of times on the low beams. Would definitely recommend this property.

The welcome basket of wine, fresh eggs (delicious scrambled), milk and the flowers was a lovely touch. Unfortunately, my wife was ill for most of our stay but felt safe and relaxed in the Hayloft while I was out walking in the gentle, pleasant surrounding countryside. It was also a handy location for reaching Hereford and Malvern (under 30 minutes to each town) with Hay-on-Wye a little further but a lovely drive. Everyone in Much Cowarne was very friendly and helpful, genuinely concerned about my wife and giving us details of the doctors nearby, who were very helpful. Our only complaint was that the bed, though wonderfully large, was a little on the hard side for us. Oh and it would be helpful to have a sign ( with the name of the house) at the end of the drive on the main road in.

  • "The Hayloft is a beautifully tranquil, well equipt, clean and welcoming place to stay."

It's away from the main hubbub of the madness thats 2020 and provided a lovley place to relax and explore the British countryside. The rooms were large, had everything you needed (Oven, fridge (small freezer compartment), dishwasher, Large internet enabled TV, very comfy bed, big bath, strong shower with lots of hot water, warm and most importantly at the moment clean and "safe") . We arrived to find a lovley welcome basket of wine, milk and some of the owners apples and fresh eggs (from the free roaming hens) which was much appreciated. It's a bit of hike to get anywhere but Hereford is well worth a visit and theres plenty of walks around Malvern and Bromyard. We didnt eat at any local pubs/restuarants but theres plent of cafes/farm shops to hand when your thirsty/hungry. I'd definatly recommend The Hayloft and would certainly go back

It is so cosy - but in the true sense of the word as the rooms are actually quite spacious. The owners have paid a great deal of attention to the finish and facilities. There is a well stocked kitchen, fantastic water pressure, Netflix, Wi-fi and plenty of storage as well as many, conveniently located electrical sockets - perfect for charging phones and other devices as well as being able to plug in a hair dryer near a mirror - a rare thing in holiday properties! This is the first holiday we've taken since Covid-19 lock down restrictions were lifted and we had some concerns about travelling but the care taken in the cleanliness of this cottage was faultless and we immediately felt as ease. We had a comfortable and relaxing break in a beautiful part of the country. Thank you.

The accommodation was very well designed so the living and bedroom areas were spacious and restful and the bathroom had excellent facilities. The cottage is in a very rural location so phone signal is poor and in the end we needed to resort to Skype for some calls. We struggled a bit to find somewhere to eat out but our perseverance was well rewarded. It's lovely to be able to walk from the cottage without needing to take the car although some local footpaths aren't signpost or marked on the ground. We had both ordnance survey hard copy map and phone app so were able to get where we intended and the local farmers were very helpful!
