It was spotlessly clean, very spacious and beautifully furnished with everything that you could possibly need. We also thought Upton was lovely with lots of pubs and places to eat, and perfectly situated for visiting The Cotwolds and Malvern.

Thank you so much Michelle. So nice to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

Super homely accommodation, friendly and attentive owner living next door, nothing was too much trouble, good value for money Cottage located on the main high street of Upton upon Severn but did not detract from our stay with access to all the town’s amenities & walks along the River Severn Rather than use the local car park (12 hour no return in 24hours restriction) we decided to park our vehicles on School Lane and walked the short distance back to our cottage through the local alley ways Excellently priced eateries, good value Fish & Chips, THRISHNA Indian Restaurant (just across the road), The White Lion Hotel & Ye Olde Anchor Public House to name a few

Thanks so much Dirk for your lovely feedback. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "Lovely cosy home from home, with plenty of shops and places to eat on the doorstep."

We especially loved the puds from the pudding shop! And a great butchers at Clive’s Fruit Farm. We wouldn’t usually stay somewhere without private parking however the on street parking and nearby free car park were always available when we needed them so caused no issues. The only negative…. And it’s a tiny little one! Is that we found the beds a little too soft (but that’s just personal preference). Everything else was so homely and comfortable it didn’t spoil our stay. We can certainly recommend a stay here, don’t hesitate to book.

  • "An excellent property."

All equipment in the cottage was excellent quality. The lounge is huge but very cosy and has lovely comfy sofas. A lovely outside space for a coffee in the morning. We arrived in the middle of a heat wave and asked if they had some fans which they didn't have but the very next day we were presented with two fans so we were very grateful. Lovely owner lovely property would thoroughly recommend.

  • "Rae and Darrel have done an excellent job of the renovations at Cuckoo Cottages and are brilliant hosts and were happy to be contacted at any time."

One minor problem with the shower was fixed immediately. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable and has been well equipped. The situation, near the centre of town, is ideal. There is some traffic noise at the front in the dining room but the main sitting room is at the rear and is quiet. it was nice to have the terraced area to sit out on. Parking was not an issue for us as we off loaded from the spaces opposite the house. The free car park is only a couple of minutes away and had plenty of spaces. We would thoroughly recommend this for stays in Upton and for exploring the area.

Beautifully decorated, well thought out and comfortable. Even better than it looked on the photos. Lovely friendly owners Rae and Daryl who are on hand next door in the B & B if needed. The thing that made us delay in booking was the parking situation but it really wasn’t a problem. On street parking 6pm til 9am or an hour 8am til 6pm and free car park 100 yds up the road (which we used every day) Lovely quaint and friendly town with a great selection of pubs and takeaways. Thank you Rae and Daryl. We highly recommend this beautiful cottage.

  • "Fantastic newly renovated grade II cottage in a great location for days out to South Wales and The Cotswolds."

Some ceilings are low, which you would expect for a cottage and as it is on the main road there is some road noise at the front of the property where the main bedroom is located. However as it is on the main road through the town, pubs, restaurants, shops and the river are all just a short stroll away. We had a problem with the central heating during our stay and the owners were very responsive in dealing with this, as they own the B&B next door. All in all the cottage is lovely and we hope to return at some point in the future.

It was the perfect setting for New Year’s Eve ( which is what we wanted ) . The cottage is exceptionally clean and well equipped with a cosy feeling and despite being on quite a busy road you can’t hear the traffic when in the lounge with its snuggly sofas. The owners were lovely and only next door if we needed anything, overall a perfect stay to bring in the new year. The locals are really friendly, we spent New Year’s Eve at a lovely tapas bar called the boat house which we would highly recommend.
