  • "We had a very comfortable week and the cottage was excellent and very clean."

It was nice and quiet in such scenic surroundings and good access to most interesting places. It was slightly spoiled by having trouble using the cooker, it turned out the gas wasn't on but it was soon sorted by speaking to the owner who was most helpful. Thank you Heather & Greg for a lovely stay.

  • "We spent a lovely week in Rosslare Cottage."

It is a very comfortable, cosy and quiet hideaway with everything you need for a holiday. The village of Broughshane is a short distance away and has good shopping facilities. The coastal villages of Carnlough and Glenarm are a short drive away and the spectacular coastal route is not to be missed. The 2 double bedrooms are very comfortable and the country kitchen and living room are excellent places to retreat to after a busy day. We loved our stay and would recommend it for a visit to beautiful Country Antrim.

  • "The heating system is somewhat complicated and could do with some explanation as to how it works so tenabts can use it better."

I think it would struggle to keep the property warm in winter.

We are sorry to hear you struggled with the heating system. We do provide pre-arrival instructions and an information binder at the cottage. As well our caretaker is available if there are ever any concerns. We will review this information as we want to ensure our guests have the best possible stay. After reaching out to you directly through email, I am happy to hear you enjoyed your stay at the cottage and had a good vacation. Property Owner

  • "Rosslare Cottage is a delightful, well looked after property in an exceptionally beautiful location."

Both inside and outside are maintained to a very high standard. The only very slight inconvenience on this occasion was the amount of hot water the system heated versus what's needed for a bath...but it didn't at all mar our stay and comfort.

  • "Lovely environment; peaceful and pretty with daffodils under the trees on the lawn in front of the cottage."

The off-road from Knowehead Road - which takes you down the hill to the cottage is in some need of repairs - with too many potholes nearer the top to even try missing some! I missed having a nice tubful of water to bath and relax in, found the shower quite primitive and didn't enjoy the cold in the bathroom when drying off - in spite of having the heating on full blast. Also found the stove difficult to adjust to as mine at home is straight-forward electric; the saucepans were HUGE to cook for just 2 people - even four. Lovely to watch the woodstove burning on the cold afternoons, even mornings , in the early spring. The lounge furniture was comfy too.

  • "What a fantastic cottage!"

A great place to relax with all the facilities you need and more. Very comfortable and the location suited us perfectly. A good base to explore the beautiful countryside of Northern Ireland. Met with a lovely welcome basket which even included a welcome biscuit for the dog! Definitely had the little touches that make you feel as though your custom is valued by the owners. The only thing that I was not expecting was the track that lead down to the cottage - can see it being a little tricky to navigate in poor weather. HOWEVER....that said, it wouldn’t put me off visiting again and the “pot of gold” at the end is well worth it! Thank you for a lovely stay in a beautiful part of the country!

  • "The cottage is beautifully decorated and is extremely well equipped."

The furnishings are of a high quality, the sofa, chairs, dining furniture are really comfortable and the beds are the best I have slept in in holiday cottages ( that includes the pillows!!). The location is great for exploring the counties of Antrim, Derry, Tyrone and Armagh as well as having easy access to Belfast. As well as the usual places, guests might visit the newish Seamus Heaney exhibition centre in Bellaghy. For safe, lengthy, off lead dog walking, besides the beaches, try Glenarm Forest and, while there, sample the food in the tea room at the Walled Garden. I had three problems with the cottage. Instructions on getting there are not as accurate as they might be., the TV package is very poor and (a minor point), a full length mirror would have been nice.

Thank you for your wonderful feedback and we are glad that you enjoyed the cottage and the surrounding areas. We are pleased to say that there is now a wider television package with Freeview channels available. Property Owner

This cottage is ideally placed making it perfect to visit anywhere in County Antrim, especially the north and north east coastline. The cottage is very well equipped and the furnishings are high quality and comfortable. The only drawback was the lack of mainstream TV channels (BBC, ITV, Ch4, Ch5 etc..) There were only a few cable channels and Netflix .... if you like that kind of thing. We loved Broughshane, which has a nice atmosphere and Ballymena is close by for all your shopping needs.
