  • "Came to Doonbeg with my daughters and granddaughters to explore the area."

My grandmothers ancestral home is in Mountrivers. The rental had lovely iconic views on the Irish countryside. Large inside with plenty of room for everyone. The only small issue was the living area was cooler in the evenings. Bedrooms were toasty but the family and kitchen area were chilly in the evening. The house had a fireplace but was hesitant to lose without instructions... Helpful if written instructions were available in the house. Would definitely recommend this house and plan to return soon. Thank you for a lovely stay. Our family made lovely memories.

    - Heating wasn't working at arrival day (only 7 degrees celsius) - Owner was friendly and tried to help the next day - some windows in the living room were draughty, so it wasn't that warm in the house anyway - the heating thermostate was remotely controlled the last week - no waste bins are provided which is ok for 1 week, but for a longer holiday its unconvenient

We responded to your many requests promptly. Heating cannot run 24 hours per day. Bins provided, long lets advised to recycle locally if possible. Property Owner

  • "The fridge was broken on arrival."

It took 6 days to buy a new fridge which was a huge inconvenience, considering our rural location. Some local information regarding grocery stores close at hand, pubs, local attractions ie walled garden in kilrush. I was told that I would receive a £50, refund for our inconvenience but only received 50 euros. I paid in gbp. The cottage is in a beautiful location. It is modern and has a well equipped kitchen. Just be aware that if any of the appliances break, it may take a while to get a resolution.
