  • "We had a great stay here, very comfortable with outstanding views."

The cottage was well equipped and well situated for exploring the peninsula. Lovely garden and kitchen-sun room too.

  • "Location very good for seeing Clare."

Beautiful view from the house. The property needs a deep clean and some TLC!! Owner made very little effort in preparing the property for us and announced on our arrival that there were no TV channels other than Netflix. It was clear he had no intention of sorting that out! The toilets and shower need a deep clean as does the fridge!!! Dirty cutlery in the drawers and shelves in cupboards need to be cleaned!!Beds cheap and mattress very hard. The estate of 7 houses looks deserted - we saw only one occupied and paths and gardens very neglected. This house and garden could be fab if some effort was put in by the owners. Cross village had a lovely pub and friendly staff. Absolutely beautiful walks around the area! Overall we really enjoyed Clare but property leaves a lot to be desired. Very disappointing considering price paid!

The garden is very well kept and scenery is stunning when sitting in the kitchen/living area. Feels like a very peaceful place and perfect base to explore south Clare.

Everything was made easy. The house exceeded expectations. It was also well located and, therefore, a perfect base from which to explore Co. Clare.

Big back garden. Couldn't have wished for a better place. The house was recommended by a friend who was there last year and it definitely exactly as she said it would be. Lovely little village will definitely come back. Ray was so nice and a pleasure to deal with.

  • "The cottage was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and very comfortable."

The location is beautiful and we loved the views over the estuary from the kitchen and patio. The owners were friendly and met us on arrival to explain how things worked and to give us advice about where to go in the area. The beach was further away than we expected - my husband jogged there and it took him 20 minutes. But it was very easy to drive to Kilkee beach which was gorgeous. Although the village of Cross itself is small, it is easy to get from there to all parts of the Loop Head peninsula and we really enjoyed being a bit off the main tourist track. It is such a beautiful part of the country - we will definitely be back and my children have already asked to visit the same cottage again as they made friends with the neighbour's children and dog. They also loved picking and eating vegetables from the plot in the garden. Many thanks for a wonderful holiday.
