  • "Area very pleasant & quiet."

House not quiet as listed.Comfortable & homely but level of cleanliness very disappointing. Also not suitable for a person with a disability. Suggestions : Down stairs toilet would be very beneficial. Chair & mirror in all bedrooms needed. Wardrobes need replacing & one bedroom had no wardrobe. Light in bathroom flickering & taps loose. Generally, property needs some maintenance. All said I did enjoy my stay at this property & nice neighbours.

  • "This property didn't live up to our past experiences with Sykes, it was Spacey equipped, no second pillows on the beds, no hairdryer, only seating for 5 guests in the lounge ,not enough crockery or glasses."

Two wine glasses and 5 dessert spoons for 6 guests. The bathrooms weren't cleaned or clean and plugs didn't fit, shower trim dirty and broken. We had to bleach and clean before we could use them. Nightlight didn't work. No safety mat in the bath for showering. Third bedroom had no wardrobe or hanging space. There was no folder with the usual helpful information on locality and house equipment. It would have helped us locate the switches for hot water and use of internet, which took time. I hope that Sykes takes on these comments so that another holiday isn't spoilt. I expect a reply from the company as this is a big issue and with careful inspection should never happen. We had come to expect a good service but have been badly let down. This could not have been inspected by Sykes and should not be available for a holiday let, It was not the standard we expect from the company.

  • "The house was very accommodating for 4 adult family members."

We found the house to be cozy and communication with the owner was quite easy. No issues checking in or out. The home was within walking distance of the downtown shops and pubs. We especially enjoyed our time at Buggle’s Pub. The owner, Carmel, was on site and extremely friendly and the traditional music was an added bonus. We would recommend the Killimer Road House to others.

  • "The property was not clean at all."

The heating was difficult to figure out. TV had no stations. No toilet roll in bathrooms. Some lights were not working. There was a pit bull dog on the property. We had our dog and two year old child with us. The garden was not secure and free access to the pit bull. To be fair it was chained but was not aware it was on property. Very disappointing and left a day early. Dog dirt was also in the front drive.

The cottage was not exactly the same as in the pictures, very small compare to what we expected, poor hygiene, toilet and bathroom very small, instead of we spending one week we left after 3 days because was not up to our expectations
