  • "This is a lovely cottage well situated for exploring Clare."

It’s about a 10 minute drive from Ennis where there’s great food shopping for self-catering plus restaurants, bars etc. The cottage is exactly as shown in photos, is nicely decorated, very clean and comfortably furnished, has good heating and ventilation, good beds and bedding, good hot water and towels. There was also an excellent welcome pack that was much appreciated given that we arrived just as it was getting dark. The only downside is the sitting room furniture which is rather bulky for the room size and crowds the room somewhat. It would be fine for four adults and a couple of kids sitting on the floor but would be a struggle for six adults watching a movie for example. The kitchen dining area and bedrooms easily accommodate six adults and are spacious. Other than that, an exemplary stay. Highly recommended.

Irish hospitality at its very best so thank you guys. The property had all the mod cons such as dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer airer's which came in handy. Pillows perhaps too soft, a choice of firmness would be nice. A bit underequipped in the kitchen for cooking utensils, cutlery and sufficient china and glasses for the maximum number of guests. Very clean and well prepared, very courteous and friendly, helpful owners.

Received a very warm welcome from Maria and Tony, and Maria's fresh homemade Scones were delicious, also provided was milk, tea and coffee. The house is very traditional and beautiful from the outside, and has recently been modernised inside to an exceptional standard, lovely lounge, hallway, and large kitchen, and large bathroom, with toilet, separate bath and shower are on the ground floor, upstairs one double bedroom has onsuite, with separate access to it for the other 2 bedrooms, one double and one large twin, the house in a very quiet spot away from the main road into Quin, surrounded by meadows (the clue was in the name) and plenty of wildlife as well as cattle. There is a driveway to the rear of the property with ample parking. Quin has amongst other shops, a Groceries/Bakery shop, pharmacy and 3 bars, we was recommended the Abbey Tavern for food by Tony and wasn't disappointed, after a meal you can walk it off around the Quin Friary. We would definitely stay again, especially as its a great base to explore County Clare, Galway and Limerick. Once again, thank you Maria and Tony for sharing your family home with us.
