  • "The cottage was brilliant but I will never book with Sykes/Hogans cottages again."

I needed to ask about my booking and there is no telephone number to ring. The number you put in your emails doesn’t work and is no longer listed - why is it still there? I had to make my enquiry by email that took days to answer and you don’t answer the question properly either. You offer a very poor service as a booking company now - I have used you lots of times but won’t use you again - I will use ABNB going forward

  • "We (10 of us) had a fantastic stay in this very well equipped house."

Stunning location and views. We did have a problem with one of the beds ( previous repair was visible) on the first night but this was swiftly repaired the next day ( Sunday!) which was great. Highly recommended.

  • "We had the most amazing time at Whispering Pines."

The area is beautiful and the house has views that are breathtaking. The house has all you need for a comfortable stay. The house was really clean and had everything we needed for making family meals. Communication with the local host when we were there was great and the welcome wine was well received! We will certainly recommend to family and friends.

  • "We absolutely loved our stay at Whispering Pines."

When we arrived it was immediately obvious that this was no normal holiday let, and that it was actually someones part-time home. Everything you needed was here, and more. The level of comfort in the house is very high. Every aspect was top-of-the-range Each and every one of the beds had a decent proper mattress, and the linen was all 100% egyptian cotton - we all slept well. The furnishings were great, there was enough comfortable seating for all ten of us, and the dining table had room for ten people as well. Everything about the house was of good quality. Even the carpets were of good quality. We felt pampered. Ahakista itself is idyllic. It's just about as far west as you can go in Europe. There are huge skies, quiet days unspoilt by traffic noise or pollution, friendly people, and dark nights. Whispering Pines is in the best of settings. The view up and down the estuary is fantastic. We are really grateful to the owners for sharing this small piece of heaven. We'd love to return.

Thank you for your kind words, we are delighted you had a great stay. We're sorry that we were not able to arrange better weather for you!! We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. Property Owner
