  • "Absolutely brilliant stay with stunning views."

Our highlight was the seated area with the big windows which offered a calm place to sit with quietness and a cuppa. No wifi gave us a well deserved break and the kids from being glued to their devices I definitely will return and use this cottage again.

Thanks so much. I am so glad ye enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "The property is lovely, very clean, spacious, fantastic location on Dingle peninsula."

A few minutes drive from the beach at Inch and great base to explore the local area. We were a family with older children (8, 14, 16). We would stay here again, great showers, comfy beds, easy to find and plenty of space for the car. The house was set back from the road so traffic noise wasn't a problem. The view from the house of the hills and bay area was superb. There is no real garden, just a gravelled area around the house for the car. This wasn't a problem for us as the weather was great (!) so we were out every day, but maybe a table and benches to sit out the front on would be nice. Aside from that, the property is surrounded by green fileds with sheep and cows, farm buildings at the back, stream over a wall nearby, idyllic. The kitchen was good, but it needs a few more items. The frying pan did not work on the induction hob (no problem with the other pans) and a couple of wooden spoons and a spatula would have been useful. Also a couple of baking trays for the oven would be good to have. As stated there is no Wifi but mobile reception was fine. All in all, a lovely place to stay and would recommend.

I am glad u had a nice stay. We plan to put some seating outdoors. I will put these utensils in the kitchen. Thank u kindly. Property Owner

  • "The house is well equipped and comfortable and was spotless."

It is in a lovely location, however to my mind this house is not based in Anascaul. It is on The Castlemaine Road just outside Inch Village. It is a good location but the description of location on Hogans Irish Cottages Website is not accurate. Some points for improvement: for the price we paid we would expect some of the basics to be addressed. The kitchen cold tap was broken and was running constantly when turned to the off position. It was running when we arrived. We couldn't fix it while there and I imagine it wastes a lot of water. None of the bathrooms or sinks had any soap to wash hands and I didn't expect to have to supply it either. That's a bit of a cheap move for the cost of the rental. There is no WIFi and I'm not the first person to say this in reviews so the owners don't seem to pay attention to feedback. Please don't say it's a chance to switch off as most teenagers look for WiFi no matter where they are and also it's handy for searching trips and making reservation. Its a basic service and is missing here. Also there were no instructions for the appliances and we spent ages trying to figure out how to use the induction hob (they supplied the wrong pan and it wouldn't work. Only when we found a second pan did it finally function). There is no house manual to provide any info about the quirks of the house, just the odd note on a window ledges about bins and please turn off the electricity. The feel is that the owners want you to oblige their conveniences without making the stay convenient for the visitors. Again, I'm not the first person to comment on no available manuals for appliances etc. Overall, this really is a nice spacious, comfortable house but at the price being asked, WiFi, soap, basic house maintenance and a house manual need to be added in.

Dear visitor, Thank you for your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear there was an issue with the kitchen tap. We’ve contacted our plumber and he is on the case! A house manual is a great idea! We’ll write one up and make sure to include some of your suggestions. We’ll also make sure to remove the spare pan so that the pans and pots that are compatible with the induction hob are well in sight! The address of the house is correct. Soap is not provided since it is neither sustainable nor hygienic to do so – future visitors should please supply their own. WiFi is not provided which is also stated clearly on the house’s posting. We are glad that you enjoyed your summer stay in the glorious Irish country side! Property Owner

  • "Would highly recommend this property for a holiday stay."

A very comfortable cottage with lots of home comforts. Perfect location with near by amenities (although not walking distance). A short drive to the most beautiful beach, Inch. Only request we would have liked to have in the cottage, is Wi-Fi. Would definitely like to come back for another family stay in the future.

Many thanks delighted you had a nice time. Property Owner

  • "Lovely house with ample space."

Good location to access Inch beach and surrounding areas. Well equipped. Kids loved meeting the sheep in the field in front of the house. Only small issues were that the toilet seat in the ensuite bathroom was broken when we arrived and left on the ground next to the toilet and not fixed throughout our stay. Also, I would suggest that some information is included on how to work items in the house e.g. it took us a while to figure out how to turn the TV from radio mode to tv - as you just get the keys and drop them off and never meet anyone, this is particularly important. Wifi access would be good too if available and the access from the main road is a real blind spot with very fast passing traffic so you have to be very careful when driving out onto the main road. Overall a very nice stay.

Glad u had a nice time. Sorry about toilet seat, it was a bad batch from supplier and had to wait for delivery. We will do a manual for appliances in due course. Unfortunately the road access is beyond our control. We have a key safe system. Thank you . Property Owner
