  • "The house is lovely."

However, we had issues with the logistics concerning the damage deposit. We were prepared with cash as advertised, however, the owner insisted we wire the deposit days early. This caused significant inconvenience for us. Then, she returned the deposit minus utilities via a site we had no connection with. The house has a water view, but no beach access from the property. Neighbors helped to show a way to walk to a nearby lovely beach. Upstairs showers were impossible to regulate water temperature. Downings is a charming town; The Harbour Bar, the best! Sunday Night trad session a must.

  • "Loved our week away exploring this area of County Donegal with our dog."

House was spacious, clean, comfortable with fantastic peaceful view over the water. Close to fabulous beaches and the lovely town of Downings. Property owners were fantastic hosts and very helpful. To top off our stay I snapped some amazing photos on phone from house of the Northern lights - incredible place! Highly recommend.

  • "Hi we se of on our journey as planned to Inverbeg cottage 1 with the post code provided in the email, after an hour into our journey received a whats app message from the caretaker to say we needed to stop with her on route to give the 150 euro deposit which we knew was applicable at time of booking, what we did not know was how this was taken so we had to tap her post code in to sat nav."

Also worth noting the deposit is cash only no card reader so if you do not have cash expect to be going to the nearest ATM, One other thing I would like to mention the listing of the cottage mentions a smart tv IE apps for Netflix,Prime etc well there is no apps on the television for any kind of login there is internet and wifi but limited to what you could do if running multiple devices as the download speed is around 2.6mbps apart from that the place is comfortable with an amazing view.
