The property
A delightful and traditional detached holiday cottage, dating back over 300 years, situated on a working livestock farm near the seaside village of Narin in County Donegal.
This Narin cottage has been tastefully refurbished to provide comfortable, rustic accommodation, which, complemented by a quiet and secluded location, means a guaranteed escape from the rigours of daily life.
This Narin cottage still retains original features such as low ceilings and bog oak and benefits from three double bedrooms, one of which is on the ground floor.
The sitting room in your County Donegal cottage has a cosy and comforting feel with a warming multi-fuel stove, perfect for relaxing in front of after a long day's exploring!
Alternatively, on a summer's evening, sit out in the garden of your Narin cottage and enjoy a glass of wine or tasty barbecue!
The seaside village of Narin is less than a mile away and lies in the picturesque Gweebarra Bay.
The village is served by two pubs and a shop but the main attraction is the stunning beach, which features two kilometres of golden sands, safe for bathing and ideal for peaceful afternoon strolls.
Golfers will enjoy the challenging links course at nearby Portnoo or you can take a wander through Clooney Wood.
The town of Ardara is within easy reach of your Narin holiday home and is a lively hub of pubs and bars where you'll no doubt receive a warm and friendly welcome from the locals before enjoying traditional Irish music and soaking up the craic!
Visit the imposing sea cliffs at Slieve League or the pretty towns of Killybegs and Donegal, before returning to the idyllic haven that is your County Donegal cottage.
Note: This property has a refundable Good Housekeeping bond of €100.
