  • "Lovely house in a great location for Clifden and the Connemara National Park."

  • "Our family of 5 at a great stay at Cifden."

It was in walking distance to the town which had plenty of shops and restaurants. Enjoyed the conamara day trips to different places. The house was very clean and had all the essentials . A tumble dryer would of been great or a clothes line to dry the towels when we used them up. We would like to come back to clifden again.

  • "The property was in a lovely location, very central and ideal size for what we needed."

Was clean and very tidy and very well equipped. Was ideal for our requirements. Was a little dissapointed with the quality of beds and bedding, they could have been better. The water from the taps and in the toilets was brown and unsure why, as no explanation in the property. Wasn’t sure if safe to drink so didn’t. Our assumption was that it was something to do with the bogs ? Concern about the smell from the boiler, if it had been in the kitchen it would definitely be of concern. Although only had it in for a short time 2x a day for hot water. May need the owner to get it checked. All in all enjoyed our stay and after a few improvements our rating would have been far higher

Thank you for your feedback. Please be assured the oil central boiler is in full working order and had just been serviced. Regarding the water this is the normal colour for the water in Clifden and is safe to drink. Property Owner

  • "We were very disappointed on our first morning to have only cold water for shower."

On further investigation we turned on the boiler which had very strong fumes coming from it and believing that this could be a health and safety issue we contacted Joy who said she would contact plumber to check it. We did not have any visit from a plumber. We also were very unhappy that all the tap water and all the water from the mains was highly discoloured. On reporting this to Joy she said this was endemic to Clifden although we saw no evidence of that in other places in Clifden. For the money we paid we would certainly have expected a higher level of furnishings and equipment. The bedding and towels were seriously sub standard, verging on the unacceptable. For a property suitable for at least six people it was very sub standard, e.g. lack of place settings and simple equipment like egg cups etc. We have normally been happy with our Sykes bookings in the past but this has been a real disappointment..

This house is an absolute must if you're visiting Clifden and surrounding area's, it's perfectly located for the town centre literally minutes stroll in to town for all amenities pubs, restaurants and shopping. The house itself is fully furnished with everything that you could possibly need. The WiFi works brilliantly and the rooms are extremely comfortable and there is even a couple of bicycles for your use. All in all a perfect home from home and that's what brings us back each year. But ssshh don't tell anyone

We could leave the car & walk into the town centre which was only 5 minutes away. There was ample parking for two cars & a private, enclosed back garden. We would definitely come here again. Perfect for the whole family.

  • "Really enjoyed are stay at Cullan for the third time."

The location is perfect for the town centre but very peaceful spot. The only problem that we did encounter was controlling the heating system, we followed all instructions but still could not get it to work. This has not put us off returning as we really enjoy Cullan for our yearly retreat to the West of Ireland. Thank you.

Well equipped house, warm and clean. We enjoyed our stay. My only disappointment was the absence of available WiFi in the house. However, would still consider a return if holidaying in the area again, so not a deal-breaker, but WiFi is expected these days.

The directions to the house were great and information on getting the key. The house was really lovely, 3 bedrooms, each with an ensuite plus extra toilet downstairs. It was less than 5 minute walk into clifden town so it was ideal. We really enjoyed our stay and if we are in Clifden again we will definetly stay in Culann house again.
