  • "After 30 years of staying in holiday homes around Ireland, this was our favourite!"

The view was breathtaking and I we loved sitting on the bench with a cup of tea watching the light change the landscape. The house was so clean, had everything you could possibly need and only a minute walk from a well stocked shop. The local beach are some of the most beautiful sand and azure water I have seen. Letterfrack is a short drive away with a bigger shop and deli, a bookshop and a few cafes and restaurants and pubs. Really good food in all. The fact that the bathtub is separate to the toilet is genius as I was able to have a bath in peace. Geraldine had a lovely welcome for us and some treats left in the kitchen for us. Can’t wait to go back some day

Un grand merci à Géraldine pour la grande qualité de son travail, son accueil et sa gentillesse.

Geraldine, the owner was very friendly and welcoming and we found everyone we met in the area friendly and helpful. Would recommend this to anyone. One small issue was the description stated 2 bathrooms where as it is actually a bathroom and separate toilet.

  • "What a Little Gem, What can I say that hasn’t already been said about this beautiful Cottage."

It is hidden away down a little path with white and blue pillars at each side and trees all the way down, very private but local to a shop that sells all the essentials plus fuel, lotto etc, also a few minutes drive to Paddy Coynes Bar which was amazing to stop in on the way home in the evening after touring around beautiful Connemara. The Anglers Rest is next door serving lovely food very reasonably priced both places are warm cosy and very welcoming. A little chapel sits just opposite. The little town of Cliften is about 20 mins drive with lovely shops and places to eat. The cottage is lovely and warm, spotless clean and well equipped with everything you need, it was amazing to sit out and take it the stunning views of The Atlantic Ocean and beautiful mountains, you can even see Croagh Patrick in the distance, lots of little birds came to visit and the sounds of nature are so relaxing and refreshing. There is a beautiful beach near by, Connemara National Park, Kylemore Abbey and the ferry to Inisbofin Island, are all a short drive away, we even ventured to Galway Town which is just over an hour’s drive taking in the amazing view along the way. Geraldine left a beautiful little welcome pack which was so kind and very appreciated, she showed us around and gave us a little history on The Cottage, Geraldine gives you so much privacy during your stay but lives a few minutes drive so is always at hand if needed. I wouldn’t hesitate staying here again the views is something that will never be forgotten. Thank you Geraldine for the memories.

The seaside village of Tully sits on the picturesque Renvyle Peninsula, County Galway. The village lies on the Atlantic Ocean, and fishermen still land the daily catch on the small pier by the beach. The village has two bars, a Post Office, a supermarket and a horseriding centre, as well as Teach Ceoil, a music house which holds traditional evenings of music each Tuesday evening during July and August. Across the bay are the mountains of Mweelrea and Croagh Patrick, and within easy reach are Connemara National Park, Kylemore Abbey, and Inishbofin Island, not to mention numerous walking and cycling routes, sea cruises, angling trips and much more.
