  • "Lovely property and location; comfortable and warm and lots of nice walks nearby."

Only tiny issues were that the toaster didn’t work and there was no way to make fresh coffee. Lack of wifi wasn’t an issue for me but might be for other visitors.

  • "Lakeview is a very nice house with a well supplied kitchen."

Landlord Sean extremely pleasant and helpful. However,a number of areas need attention as follows; We could not get any of the bedroom radiators to work....obviously airlocked. The interior doors rattled at night when weather was windy, which meant they had to be left open so we could sleep. There was no fireside starter pack as promised in the facilities list. Wifi was very erratic.....sometimes it woild not work at all. Poatcode/Eircode does not bring one to the house....it bring you to village of Lettermore only, about a mile from the house. This caused problems, especially on coming home in the dark one night. We had to drive around quite a bit before we found it.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Lakeview, a real place to get away from it all, about an hour from Galway, the local shops although small had everything you could need."

Connemara is a beautiful place to explore. The beaches are stunning. The property itself could do with a bit of maintenance and a spring clean, the front door was unbelievably hard to lock and unlock. If this was a school report it would say must try harder

  • "The location and surroundings were stunning."

The house was clean, well presented and spacious, more than enough room for a family of five. Sean explained the bits and pieces around the house, and left us to relax. The surrounding area was quiet and relaxing, we were visited by a local cat, and cow, plus the local farm dog. The only tricky point was the front door lock was really sticky, so takes a little time to get working. We would happily recommend this to anyone, especially those trying to get away for a quiet time, plus there is easy access to the Aran Islands.

  • "This is a fabulous property with stunning views across the lakes and beyond."

The property was much bigger than we realised which was a real bonus. Our host Sean was very friendly and made us feel very welcome right from the start. The location served us well for our kayaking adventures around Gorumna Island and the neighbouring Islands. We were blessed with good weather which meant we could enjoy beaches that few people ever get to see.

House had all I needed and loved having the fire. Location is wonderful and looking out onto great scenery of a lake and distant Galway mountains and was a quiet area/break. Little phone signal but that suited me. Host was very helpful and friendly.

  • "Seán, the owner is very welcoming and helpful."

He had kindly left some supplies including tea, coffee, milk and bread etc for us, much appreciated after our long drive! It's a very comfortable house in the most beautiful Gaeltacht area and perfect for a family holiday. My children spent their days playing in the fields and swimming in the sea (a drive away at the beautiful Trá an Dóilín beach) and we enjoyed a few walks up the bóithrín that the house is on. We had quite mixed weather - the nice few days helped but this area is beautiful even in the rain. The view from the house is spectacular. The children are already asking when we can go back and we look forward to returning again in the future.

Everything was provided, the owner was a lovely man who dropped off the keys and told us about the local area. Absolutely amazing price for a wonderful bank holiday weekend away.
