"A beautiful house right by the sea."
Lots of space and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Owners were lovely and really helpful.

"A great house with wonderful views!"
We are so happy we chose this house. Spacious and comfortable for me and my husband and our two adult sons. Kitchen is super well equipped. Location ideal as it is nice and private in the midst of nature, but yet an easy walk to the shop and pub. Hikes from the house. Highly recommended!

"This is a well built, modern, weather proof house with loads of space."
Storm Betty might be blowing through but you won't feel or hear very much. Beds were comfortable, the Sky box a very welcome surprise and the views mesmeric. The house was very clean, with a good level of equipment and it really is very spacious. We had a lovely stay. One word of warning. If you dry your clothes on the lines outside, don't let your washing drag through the long grass behind. You will pick up tics. We know this to be true.

"We had a fantastic time in fanore ,the locals were so helpful and friendly ."
We had a great time on the aran island hiring bikes and meeting the local people there. The house was fantastic great location and the view of the Atlantic ocean was gorgeous. The house was lovely and spotless and warm..The kids said they would definitely stay there again .

"The house is extremely spacious and nicely furnished."
The living room has a double height ceiling which adds to the feeling of space. The bedrooms were very comfy ( apart from a lumpy mattress in the master suite ) and the en-suites were modern with excellent showers. Location was great with amazing sea views enhanced by beautiful sunsets. Just a couple of cons worth mentioning: the outside furniture was very rudimentary and uncomfortable, just picnic benches and no parasols which would have been welcome due to the very warm weather. Also, the electric shower in the main bathroom was very hard to regulate being either scalding hot or cold. Luckily we could use the en suites instead.

"It was a beautiful cottage in a stunning location with 180o views of the Atlantic."
However, the master bedroom bed was very uncomfortable with bed springs and ridges taking their toll. We had to move to another bedroom with a much more comfortable bed. There were several light bulbs missing in the kitchen and sitting room, and most importantly, the outside light above the front door; we had to resort to use our iPhones to view and unlock the door after an evening out (in early October). The views were definitely the outstanding feature and location of this cottage.

"The house is wonderfully isolated with great views of the Atlantic Ocean."
It is spacious and the beds comfortable. The furnishings in the living room are dated and worn to the point where the chairs need replacing. This change would make for an attractive and comfortable sitting area in the center for the house--at the moment, there really is no comfortable space to sit and relax. The house would also benefit from a more attractive outside seating.

"A great place to stay."
Spotlessly clean and nicely decorated throughout. Everything you need. Lovely sea views.

"We found Cúnna Bán very comfortable and in a beautiful position overlooking the sea."
We have some wonderful photos of the flowers of the Burren. Clare is a county to visit, so different from others.... We'll be back. (Limerick supporter!!)

"Pros: Property in a beautiful location, clean and kitchen very well equipped."
Cons: Despite being advertised as including all utilities, heating was rationed and fully controlled by the owners daughter (timer locked away) which was extremely frustrating as I could not set it to my convenience, this meant having to wait to shower until I could get warm enough to do so. First night I was absolutely frozen and had to go to bed at 8.15pm to get warm. Morning was freezing and had to wait until 10.15am (when owners daughter arrived to set the heating again) before I could shower, this meant I couldn't get out until later in the day when I usually go out around 8am. I couldn't get the fire going (never started a fire before) but was told to do that instead. Owner initially told me she had to lock the timer away because it kept getting broken by renters, but daughter told me the truth - her mother doesn't like the heating on for long because the oil is expensive. Sofa is rather uncomfortable Needs a coffee table badly Overall a lovely property but I wouldn't stay there again for the sheer fact the the owner controlling the heating, something I've never experienced before in many of the other properties I've stayed it.

"Everything was just brilliant."
Cottage was amazing, spotlessly clean, so spacious and everything you could possibly need and more is provided. Loads of wee extras that you dont normally get when renting (soap powder/dish water tablets/condiments etc) Although the cottage is big, when the fire is on the whole place feels so homely and cosy. There's great views from most if not all windows, we could've spent all day watching the waves crashing over the rocks. The bedrooms are massive with loads of storage, 2 have ensuite facilities and there's extra blankets/quilts if you need them (we didnt) The pub (O'Donaghues), just a short walk away, is superb, the owner and staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food is excellent and I'd highly recommend the fish n chips and the crab claws, both were outstanding . Had the best night having a small libation or three with the locals, great craic as they say in Ireland! Genuinely cant recommend this Cottage highly enough. Fanore itself is very small, but beautiful, beach is stunning with loads of surfers using it, but plenty free parking. I'd also recommend visiting nearby 'Doolin' and looking for 'Dusty' the Dolphin! If considering renting this Cottage, go for it. I cant think of any negatives and wouldnt want to. For me it was just perfect

"Very nice house in a good location."
Using our own maps and books we explored the footpaths and ancient sites of the, finding beautiful plants and rare butterflies. Useful books and maps that I bought and took with us: *‘The wild plants of the Burren and the Aran Islands - A Field Guide’ by Charles Nelson *‘Exploring Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way’ - D Flanagan & R Creagh *Ordnance Survey Ireland No 51 - Scale 1:50,000 *’Butterfly Conservation’ app for iPhone

"Brilliant, great location very convenient to Doolin + Ballyvaughan (def good supermarket here for you weekly shop) and better than the one near house which is about 2 mins drive away) beautiful drive along to Liscannor and lahinch."
larger than it looks spacious clean bright. any little minor issues we had were sorted right away. got all you need inside includes the washing machine and TD. lovely sunny dining area off the kitchen. lots of info games and CDs and DVDs to look at if you wish. The big rocks outside the front of house were fantastic for a primordial game of hide and seek for the under 5s! the beach at Fanore is beautiful too and nonly 5 min drive too. so altogether this house has everything you need for a comfortable stay and an enviable and very convenient location for this part of Clare.

"It would be nice to see a few usb switched sockets around the cottage and shaver points in the bathrooms over the basins."
Apart from that, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone who is thinking of staying in the area. We also found the local shopkeeper very helpful and obliging.
-
"The house was welcoming and clean with good kitchen equipment and very comfortable beds, which was a real bonus as you never know until you arrive what things are really like."
-
"The property was very well appointed and had everything we could want."
Bed linen was lovely, slept soundly every night. There was even a bag of ice in the freezer, which meant G&Ts when we arrived! Beautiful location.
-
"The cottage was close to perfection, as was the location."
It was exactly as promised. I don't think we could have asked for more.

"Cottage offers fabulous accommodation- spacious , modern and fully equipped for comfortable living ."
(Although towels & bedding ready for renewal ). It is set in spacious grounds in a stunningly beautiful location . Be prepared to travel half an hour to the nearest restaurants. Good taxi services- John Sheedy for Doolin direction- Tom and Catherine Hackney for Ballyvaughan direction. Pub in Fanore didn’t offer food and had unreliable opening times. Daily visits to Village shop & P. Office kept our food supplies stocked up and the owners were happy to offer helpful advice and pass on local knowledge. Together with family and friends we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cunna Ban.

"Help was quickly available, when needed"
-
"Fabulous cottage, 4 bedrooms, large kitchen and open fire."
great location for touring the area and walking distance to a great little beach. only issues - towels provided were less than needed and quite small. other issue being the central heating - unable to change it from that set, ok in the mornings but made the house quite cold at night.
-
"Superb holiday home which is a credit to its owner."
We spent the first half hour just walking around Cunna Ban admiring the place. Very comfortable accommodation and located in a great position for peace and quiet. Close enough to either Fanore, Ballyvaughan or Lisdoonvarna for supplies. O’Donohues pub is about 300 metres away as is the shop and Vasco the deli/cafe. But just to recap, Cunna Ban is probably the best 3 bedroom detached holiday home on the Wild Atlantic Way. This property is even better than described in our opinion. Many thanks, Steve, Konstanze, Tony and Lyn.

"Key collection arrangements rather convoluted and unnecessarily so as they were left under a stone by the front door anyway!"
The interior of the house is very modern, stark and minimalist - not at all cosy. No provision for hanging up wet weather gear near the door - an essential in the west of Ireland. All appliances worked well but the timing of the the heating system did not allow any adjustment and did not allow for damp, cold afternoons and early evenings, although it was possible to light the peat burner. Much of the crockery is very chipped and cracked and cutlery would be in short supply if there were 6 people staying. Great location and views
-
"The location of the Cunna Ban cottage was fantastic with excellent views on the Atlantic Ocean."
Close to (15 km) the Cliffs of Mohair and to Doolin with the famous music pubs and Doolin Pier with the ferry to the Aran Isles.
-
"Exceptional location for views and tranquility."
A very well maintained and laid out cottage.
-
"Cunna Ban was the best holiday house we ever had."
It was absolutely cosy and the scenery we looked upon was overwhelming. One thing to improve: Regulate level and time of the heating by ourselves.
