  • "Great location for exploring Connemara."

Comfortable cottage with everything you need. Close to the local shop who have what you might need with a friendly smile and a chat. Good local pub with good food (make a reservation) and the next pub a few Km further has great Guiness, craic and live music. Easy to recommend.

  • "House was exactly as described with plenty of space to accommodate 6."

The location was perfect for us for touring Connemara. Nearby facilities include Coynes Gastropub with very good quality food, a Gala minimarket with a good range covering anything you might need, and a lovely beach/cove only a few minutes drive at Ardmore. Our hosts Alma and John live directly opposite and could not be more welcoming and helpful! Would definitely recommend.

  • "This is an old house that has been beautifully restored and upgraded."

The house is very comfortable and clean. The owners are very friendly and helpful. It is very close to a fantastic gastro-pub, Coynes which we could highly recommend. The village is very friendly and a great place to practice Irish. Connemara is stunning in all weathers. The only thing to mention is that there is no WIFI and the phone signal is weak in the house. We would highly recommend this house.

  • "We had a really enjoyable stay at Clancy cottages."

The hosts were truly wonderful and helpful. It is a very quiet part of Connemara which is what we were looking for. Some beautiful beaches a short drive away. The cottage is well equipped, heating was required some wet days, even in July. Hosts provided baby equipment [cot, chair, toys!] which was really helpful too. We would love to return again.

  • "We booked Clancy Cottages from June 22nd to June 28th, 2019."

It was a nice 3 bedroom with a cozy deck for relaxing or reading. The cottage itself was very clean and comfortable. We found John and Elma to be very pleasant and caring people. If I ever travel to Ireland again, I would not hesitate to stay here.

  • "We loved the cottage."

Excellent restoration. The only thing we didn't like was the linens. The pillows were old and flat, the bed sheets were thin and stained, the duvet cover had not been washed. The towels were hard and smelled musty after use.

It is a perfect place to start discovering conamara. The shop had everything we need and we spend many hours in the pub. Mr. Clancy was very uncomplicated.
