  • "A warm, comfortable holiday cottage in an amazing location."

The view is wonderful (sea from the front, hill from the back). So nice being able to just wander down the driveway, cross the road and get onto the beach. The cottage has great facilities (3 bathrooms!) and is very comfortable. Great shop and pub in Tully Cross. Spectacular scenery everywhere. We went with our 22-year-old son and we all loved it. I've already been recommending it to friends and family!

  • "My teenage son and I have just left the lovely Seaspray cottage today after spending a blissful week there with our dog."

The owner, Maureen, is lovely, she popped by to make sure we were okay and had everything we needed but didn’t overstep and gave us plenty of privacy also. The cottage itself is very charming, with the weather being mixed and still quite cool we lit the fire every night which was lovely. The beds are very comfy with the welcome addition of electric blankets which made them very cosy to climb into! I can’t stress enough how beautiful the sea view is from the master bedroom and lounge / dining area, a lovely change when you live in a city. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook anything you might want and we enjoyed several home cooked meals. We hope to return again in the future!

  • "Whilst it's a lovely location not as remote as we thought ( should have checked google street view) maybe advising prospective renters of the working farm next door who have 4 dogs who are around the property and urinating and defecating in the grass out front and back I was concerned about our dog whenever we took her outside ."

I am just thankful that we never went in Summer and wanted to sit outside or had young kids. Heating system is outdated and as the cottage is quite draughty we had to have it on constantly trying to keep the cottage warm it did cost quite a bit at the end of the holiday. Apart from that the facilities in the cottage are reasonable as expected and there is a nice view of the ocean looking out from the bedroom and sitting room .

  • "The location was amazing!"

Stunning views and short drive to most of western Ireland. The cottage was cozy. It was hard to keep a fire going, the chimney didn't have great airflow. The kitchen was a little dated, but we only used it for breakfast so it wasn't a big deal. If you like to sleep with the windows open, be ready for a calico visitor around midnight. She's very sweet and will make herself at home on the bed with you. Overall, we very much enjoyed our time at Sea Spray Cottage and we would return.

  • "The cottage is in a fabulous location with access to local beaches."

Maureen was very friendly and available if there were any problems (there was one small problem regarding accessing the TV channels which she solved straight away and with no fuss)." There is a shop and garage close by in the next village. There are also some good pubs locally (a ten minute drive) and ‘Teach Ceoil’ (a music expo of local trad musicians) runs every Tuesday during July and August and should not be missed. It showcases some of the most talented musicians in the country. The house has got everything you need for a good holiday as well as its incredible location!

A real home by home. Maureen was very helpful and not to much trouble. Field next to cottage housed horses and had neighbours dog pay a visit. Real home by home. Few issues that was discovered Maureen fixed as much as could.(fuse to lights & plug in bath didn't work) Couple minutes walk to pebble beach. Or 4 minutes drive to sandy beach. Close (15/20mins) drive to Connemara national park. Would definitely book again.

Comfy roaring fire with a priceless view of Clare island. Home was well equipped for everything I’d need. Felt like home from the start. Maureen is an amazing gracious host that had the home nicely decorated for the holidays. Real country feel with the village of Tully just shortly up the road. If you feel a bit lonely there, don’t fret, the neighbors dog will come visit you for a cup of tea. I will be planning my trips back to Renvyle based on the availability of this home. The hosts were so welcoming and provided us with really useful information about the local facilities such as the supermarket, pubs and restaurants, and where to visit. The property has a pet friendly garden and there are plenty of beautiful places to walk nearby. There is a comfortable living area with open fire. The beds are also really comfortable, plenty of towels are provided and even a hairdryer! The kitchen and utility room are very well equipped. I’ll miss the spectacular sea views from the living room and master bedroom and great food and drink at a traditional Irish pub nearby!

Our host Maureen was really helpful & pleasant to deal with but in reality we didn’t need to bother her during our stay as we had no problems at all with the house….everything worked perfectly! Amazing views, walks in the nearby stony beach (across the road) and daily visits by Ruby (our neighbours dog) made our stay so relaxing and enjoyable. Also we found the beds really comfortable which can be quite rare in a lot of holiday homes. Even on rainy days the view would make staying in this house a pleasure! A great house to base yourself in for local trips to fabulous beaches, trips to Letterfrack, Leenaun & Cliften. All in all, couldn’t fault & planning on booking again for next year!!

  • "The location is lovely with a really nice sandy beach 5 mins away by car and some nice places to eat but the property feels tired and not hitting its potential."

Having to heat the immersion heater to have hot water to shower or wash dishes which don't go in the dishwasher. The one electric shower floods the bathroom. The bath has a hole in it?? (not the plug hole before you say). The oven barely gets to proper temperature. In general it needs a good overhaul. The outside space is large with ample parking but they don't have a patio or a BBQ to enjoy the outside space, although there is a heavy picnic bench. Over all its a base for a holiday but I've had better for less money, the best part of £1000 for week I expect more.....

The views and how cosy the living area is a real gem. Maureen was on hand for all our queries including when my car refused to start on the first morning, an extremely friendly host. There is a little sandy inlet a couple of minutes walk beside the castle that my children loved and the views while sitting on the rocks was just wonderful. So much to do in the area, we went on a day trip to Inishbofin, Killary sheep farm, Kylemore Abbey and gardens and White strand beach and so many restaurants but many more things to do and places to explore. Seaspray is the perfect holiday house.

Explained everything in detail. Clean and tidy cottage. Had to contact owner a couple of times about problem with hot water and dvd player. On both occasions these were dealt with satisfactory and extremely quickly. Comfy rooms and furniture. Our only comment would be that a normal size freezer would make the stay easier as able to do one big shop rather than lots of little ones. However it should be noted that one is not listed in the facilities so it shouldn't have have been expected. Just a little bonus if it was. Perfect position, easy access to main roads and tourist attractions. Hope to return.

Nothing in front but sea nothing behind but mountains. So many places to visit nearby, we ran out of time. The two local pubs offer brilliant food at decent prices. We all slept really well after coastal walks, especially the dog. The welcome was very warm, with a bottle of really welcome wine. So quiet. We went in September but were really lucky with the weather. The cottage is very well equipped, warm and cosy. If you want to get away from it all, stay here.
