"Lovely, quiet and peaceful."
Roundstone village is close by with all the facilities needed. A perfect base for exploring Connemara by car, bike or walking.

"2nd time staying in this wonderful cottage."
Beautiful setting. Beds very comfortable. Everything you need to cook at home. Easy to find. Close to Roundstone which has a few pubs and a hotel that serve food. A great base for touring Galway.

"Thank you to Bridie for a lovely stay."
We were warmly welcomed and then left to our own devices which was perfect. Check out was easy and smooth and we so enjoyed the cottage and surrounds.

"We had a great stay."
The welcome cake was a nice and delicious surprise. The Slieve Bloom mountains were on our doorstep, so we made a few beautiful loopwalks there.

"Spent a week in this cottage and couldn't fault it."
3 double bedrooms with really comfortable beds. Large kitchen dining room with everything you could possibly need. Nice comfortable sitting room with seats for 5. Nicely decorated. 10 minutes to the lovely village of Roundstone with lots of lovely restaurants and bars. Fabulous quiet setting. South facing garden where the only sound is birdsong. Would recommend to anyone who wants to chill out and relax.

"Excellent scenic view of 12 Bens mountain range Nearby bars and restaurant ..."

"Very well equipped, cozy and spacious cottage."
The cottage does not have WiFi. Since we had to work a bit despite being on vacation, we brought a mobile WiFi router with us (available from Amazon and elsewhere), bought an Irish SIM card (much cheaper than in Germany) and thus had unlimited internet for all the laptops we brought with us. The owner is extremely nice and helped us in every way. She lives on the same property and is therefore available for any problem. Idyllic, very quiet location overlooking the Atlantic and the beautiful village of Roundstone on the opposite bank. We have made many trips - e.g. to Clifden, Galway, to Connemara National Park, to Kylemore Abbey - it was a great holiday.

"Cosy cottage, with great location."
15 minutes in the car from Dog's Bay and Gurteen, two of the best beaches I've ever come across. Well situated for the N59, and Clifden in one direction, Galway in the other. No WiFi, which didn't bother me, but our teens were a bit disgruntled. Resident donkey was an added bonus. Will almost certainly return in 2023.

"The location is simply stunning and so much to do , wonderful beaches and fantastic views in every direction , Roundstone is a very charming village and even with Covid it can still be enjoyed as the pubs and Restaurants have adapted to the times we are in as has the town of Clifden ."
This part of the Connemara is wonderful with so many walks and cycling routes to enjoy I couldn't recommend it enough . While your photos of the Cottage are fine they do not do justice to the beautiful location which is really beautiful .

"Area outstanding."
Unfortunately cottage musty smell and dusty. Bathroom taps inside green mold. One bedroom not too bad. Used this instead of main bedroom. Bed comfortable. Main oven not working.
Thank you for your feedback. The owner has advised that the taps just marked by the chlorine in the water as they travel through copper pipes. No previous guests have mentioned a musty smell in the property and the cooker is working fine and should you have needed assistance with this the owner was on hand to help. Overall we hope this did not detract from your stay at Roundstone Bay View, and we look forward to seeing you again soon. Property Owner

"The holiday home owner, Bridie Davies , was very helpful in finding the cottage when we were delayed in arriving."
The heating was on and even the electric blankets were switched on. The cottage was well equipped and clean and tidy. The location was beautiful and would certainly recommend this holiday home.

About the location
ROUNDSTONE, COUNTY GALWAY
Clifden 14.5 miles; Connemara National Park 25 miles; Galway 48 miles.
Roundstone, in the Connemara region of County Galway, lies on the western arm of Bertraghboy Bay. The entrance to Roundstone harbour is marked by a large stone, like an upturned bath tub, which is known as seals rock (Chloch na Ron) as seals like to clamber up onto it and bask in the sunshine. The bay itself is also often referred to as Roundstone Haven. Roundstone offers pubs, restaurants, cafés, shops and a children’s playground, plus there is a traditional Irish night in the summer and a number of festivals which take place throughout the year. Roundstone is full of historical and geographical points of interest, including the bell tower of the Franciscan Monastery, now standing in the Michael Killeen Park, and the remains of a monument to St Brendan on Inishnee, a small island in Roundstone Bay. A five-minute drive away are Gurteen and Dog's Bay beaches, plus attractions in the area include horse riding, deep sea fishing, hill walking and cycling. Just eight miles from Roundstone is the Connemara Golf Club and further afield there is great scenery to enjoy either on foot, bicycle or in the car. The lively town of Clifden has lots of interesting things to see, while the Connemara National Park is just a little further away and the city of Galway can be reached in an hour’s drive.
