  • "This cottage was exactly what we were hoping for, traditional Irish cottage, warm welcome with lovely freshly baked scones and some welcome provisions."

The cottage had such a cosy feel to it. So lovely to browse the many books available to guests covering everything you would want to know about the area including Irish legends, traditions and cooking. The kitchen had everything we needed and we utilised the bus service into Dingle as well as the local taxi service, all excellent thank you we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  • "The host went the extra mile at this house."

Provided scones on arrival, sufficient cleaning products (eg dishwasher tablets), washing up liquid, enough firewood for the week and plenty of towels. These are simple things but are absent from most holiday homes; what set this house apart from many others was the generosity of the welcome. The house was perfectly clean and well presented. The host was available any time for questions or to offer help Could not recommend highly enough.

  • "The cottage name An Nead means The Nest in Irish and it really suits it as it is so homely and comfortable."

The scenery is breath taking. The cottage had everything we needed. There is a reading nook stocked with lots of books for young and old. My daughters loved the bedrooms. So cosy and pretty. There is a good size garden. When we arrived the owner met us to show us around the property and left us some milk and freshly baked apple cake which was very nice. It is about a 10 to 15 minute drive to Dingle main street and loads to see and do there. It is 10 minutes to Ballyferriter where there is a gorgeous cove near the Louis Mulcahy pottery shop that is well worth a visit. After our days out it was always lovely to leave the busy tourist spots behind and go back to An Nead to unwind. It is by far the prettiest authentic cottage we have ever stayed in and if the visitor book is anything to go by, it seems to be very popular with a lot of guests having returned a few times and planning their next stay.

  • "Really gorgeous location and the host was very attentive and when we arrived late came to meet us at a nearby pub to 'guide us in'!"

she had also lit the fire and left us fresh cakes and milk. although a really wonderful cottage and location for walking, We were disappointed with description of the beach being a 10 minute walk, the beach was in fact Brandon's Creek, and took half an hour and not suitable for sunbathing or swimming on. Other than that all well.
