  • "Very comfortable cottage outside Killarney."

Well furnished and equipped for self catering.Lovely views from all rooms especially kitchen., There were six adults in our group so having 2 en suits and a family bathroom was great. Joan our host was very welcoming and briefed us well on how things worked. Taxis were easy to get even for six of us. We had a wonderful family week in Kerry as usual.

  • "Lovely property, we really enjoyed our stay."

Kitchen and lounge areas especially good, there was plenty of space for two families and it waa all very relaxing. Owner best contacted via whatsapp. It was remote enough for me to see the perseid shower, and near enough to killarney to have easy access to supermarkets, torc waterfall and the kerry way. Car or high viz is definitely required, as roads are often narrow with sharp bends.

  • "The house is comfortable, clean, beautiful and well kept."

The furniture is comfortable and the property is well maintained. Having the books and magazines with local and county destination ideas was very helpful with filling down time and finding things we already had in mind. Joan shared some destination ideas that we visited that were very enjoyable too. Joan is a friendly, helpful, generous and gracious host. The house is only about 5 minutes away from Killarney, which makes provisioning, eating out, shopping and pub hopping conveniently close by. That also means it is only 5 minutes away from Killarney National Park and the Ring Of Kerry. From this house we were also able to go to Blarney Castle and Dingle peninsula, so its location provides access to many fun destinations around the south and south west of Ireland. Atop a hill at the edge of the mountains, inspiration and exploration beckon everywhere you look from the yard and through the windows. Motivation awakens with the first light that greets when you rise to meet the day. I couldn't have wanted a better house or landscape call home for a week.

Joan, the owner, made us feel very welcome on arrival and made sure she gave us all the information we needed. The house was spacious comfortable and cosy and had all the facilities and equipment you could wish for, including magnificent views. We could not fault it and would fully recommend it to anyone.

  • "We had a great week at Artigallivan, helped partly by the weather, but the house was just perfect for us (7 adults)."

Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and not feel on top of each other, and the communal areas were big enough for when we all did want to be together. We cooked for ourselves every night and the kitchen was very well equipped with everything that we needed. Great location too, about 10 minutes from Killarney, in the car, in a rural location with lovely views of the surrounding hills and mountains.

This house is ten minutes drive from Killarney. Just the perfect distance from the town but close enough to grab a few essentials if required. This lovely house had everything required and so clean. A treasure find. I’m sure we will be back when we next visit Killarney.

  • "Artigallivan is a wonderful place to stay, with absolutely everything you could need for the perfect holiday."

The property itself is tucked away in the beautiful countryside. It is impeccably clean throughout. The kitchen is very well equipped and I enjoyed cooking family meals there most evenings - this being our preferred choice. With the peaceful location, dining area or the patio area (with seating) and the spectacular views of some of the highest mountains in Ireland - who really wants to be stuck inside a restaurant? Saying that on our first night we did visit a lovely pub / restaurant called the Kerry way. It's located approx 5 minutes from the house by car - we had a lovely meal there and a proper pint of Guinness... has to be done! Tesco, Aldi and Lidl are located near Killarney Town centre - approx 4.5 / 5.5 miles away, for all your shopping needs. There are so many things to do whilst here. We went to Ross Castle - out on the lakes (incredibly interesting), kissed the Blarney Stone at Blarney Castle - beautiful gardens & alot of history there and Dingle is another beautiful place we visited, amongst many others. Thank you to Joan the owner of Artigallivan for the lovely welcome and for being so helpful and accommodating during our stay. This is without question the cleanest and most comfortable property we have stayed in and over many years. Thank you for making our holiday even better than we anticipated!

  • "Lovely cottage and very nice host."

A little more isolated than expected but still not too far from Killarney about 10KM so will definitely need a car. Well equipped, spacious and comfortable.

  • "Great location 10 minute drive from Killarney and good size property."

Views over to the mountains were beautiful and a pleasure to wake up to. Property was clean apart from a few items of crockery - probably due to an inefficient dishwasher.
