  It's a cosy cottage. Lovely walks around it. Amazing lake directly behind. The owner is also extremely helpful. On my first day my car broke down and he sorted me out very quickly. Will def be back .

• "This is a beautiful traditional cottage set in an idyllic, peaceful setting."

  Stayed with my 2 boys {12+15} with the little wood land, access to lake Melvin, lots of outside space they had so much fun exploring. This is a place for couples, families, an artist's retreat, anyone that loves nature and exploring. Close to some many towns with lots to offer. Henry is a generous, helpful host. With a huge welcome pack, games, books, dvds and more available. This is a magical place, but with all the facilities and mod cons you need. A haven, will definitely be back again.

• "My wife and I have travelled all over Ireland in the past and stayed in many different types of accommodation sadly my wife past away."

  The willow Brook cottage is a great place to stay and ideally situated for travelling around the North West of Ireland we met the owner Henry who went out of his way to bring us some interesting information also he left us plenty of food items way beyond the norm .it's a cottage that grows on you day by day I wouldn't hesitate going back again thank you Henry.

  It is well located for easy access to the local towns, beaches and mountains of this stunningly beautiful area. The cottage is secluded and tranquil and is adjacent to two lanes for a tree-lined or lakeshore stroll. Traditional and characterful inside, the cottage is an ideal destination for those seeking a peaceful retreat from life's fast pace. We loved our stay.

• "Wonderful holiday, thank you Henry!"

  The property is a thoughtfully renovated, comfortable and well equipped traditional Irish cottage, the kitchen being one of the best I've encountered. The cottage is beautifully located on the shores of Lough Melvin while a beautiful glade of trees beside the cottage provided much needed shade during the recent heatwave! There's lots to see and do in the locality though we also enjoyed swimming in the lake at nearby Derrynaseer ( an excellent alternative to crowded beaches as is nearby Garrison) cycling and walking the quiet roads, edged with lush hedgerows! It's clear that Henry takes Covid precautions very seriously which was reassuring. There were generous touches too like new toiletries and kitchen basics - and not so basics, wine and nice crisps! Although there's no mobile coverage inside the cottage, it's available a few 100 metres up the road - fine by us and promoted a sense of getting away from it all. Communication with Henry was easy at all times. We certainly plan to return - highly recommended!

• "The cottage, of historical value and authentic charm, is situated in a quiet glade of trees and lawn visited by birdsong and occasionally cows just over the fence to the south."

  Our visit was a peaceful one well-removed from the din of daily living. We enjoyed walking the country lanes, biking along Lough Melvin and shopping in nearby villages. Our host, Henry Hill, amended our stay with tales of growing up on farms in the area and adding friendly hospitality to our two weeks at Willowbrook Cottage. Jerry and Tim

  Perfect for a family of 4 or two couples.Ideally located for walks fishing ect.There are 3 or 4 towns close by with plenty of pubs and restaurants.Very clean and Cosy.

  Lots to do in the area and an extremely quiet place to unwind. We went with 2 young children and the cottage had what we needed, was clean and there was plenty to do in the surrounding areas.

  Host Henry very nice and accomodating. Only improvement would be to try and facilitate internet coverage but that been said it has its advantages not to have it !!! Would def return someday.

  It is at the end of a half mile long lane and is secluded but not isolated. The owner is friendly and informative. We appreciated the Welcome basket that was provided.

• "My wife and I stayed in Willowbrook Cottage in late April and what can I say!"

  Absolutely a fantastic place to get away from the pressures of everyday life. It is an ideal place to discover the delights of Donegal and it's beautiful coastline. The cottage is warm, homely and very comfortable. Henry had a welcome pack for us and fuel for the open fire which was lit every night. If you are looking somewhere different and a home away from home visit this place, you will not be disappointed. Thank you again Henry, recommended without doubt. We will be back.
