• "Fantastic cottage in an amazing location."

  Fabulous hosts. The best equipped property we have ever stayed in which makes such a huge difference to a stay. Probably one of the best weeks away we have ever had. My wife grew up in the area & raved about it's beauty for so long. I was blown away by the different landscapes to explore. We hope to return soon.

• "Lovely generous house in a stunning location with essentially a mountain in the the back garden."

  Quiet but close to Kinlough town and Sligo/Donegal coast. All facilities (except wi-fi & poor phone signals) excellent - cosy bedrooms, a well stocked kitchen and even fire-making materials. A warm personal welcome and a perfect getaway.

• "Good to meet Micheal & Bridie, they made us feel welcome & explained the facilities."

  Rachel loved the Apple Pie best for me it was the views of Tieve Baun and the total silence of the nights. Lots to do nearby though I could not find out how to get up Tieve Baun.

• "We enjoyed our stay immensely, from the warm & detailed greeting from Bridie & Michael, including the delicious welcoming pie, to the facilities & surroundings, it offered the quintessential Ireland experience."

  The only issue, which affected a couple of our family & could limit future guests, was the lack of Wi-Fi, which has become an integral part of many lives.

• "We were met by the owners Bridie and Michael, who made us feel very welcome."

  The roaring coal fire made the house beautifully cosy. Bridie had also made us an apple pie as a welcome, which from the guest book seems to be a regular\r thing. The house is spacious but still cosy, very well equipped and immaculately presented. Add all this to the lovely garden and fantastic view of the mountain, and I think you would struggle to find a better holiday cottage in this part of Ireland

  There are two crossroads to cross and then over 3 miles to the cottage.

• "This was a comfortable holiday home in a delightful, quite remote location."

  We welcomed the generous supplies of fuel and the 'extras' such as fresh vegetables from the garden and the delicious apple pie baked by the owner! Our only comment regarding general comfort of the cottage was the sofa which was hugely uncomfortable and also the beds/mattresses need to be re-newed, as these were definitely past their best. Otherwise, a clean cottage, well presented in a quiet location.
