  • "Cottage was clean and well equipped, had everything we needed."

Information Folder is a great idea, we have been staying in cottages for many years and this is rarely provided which can make life difficult! Views are spectacular. Location is rural but within easy striking distance of Boyle, Sligo etc with good road connections. We hadn't been to this area before but really enjoyed our break, lots to see and do. Sheelagh, Brian and Buddy (the mutt)!

Thank you for your great feedback and we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. We appreciate your comments about our information folder. We have tried to make it a helpful, informative and a personal review of out cottage and surroundings. Property Owner

  • "The house was in a lovely location with great views."

The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Overall we had a great time and the only big negative was the cleanliness of the property when we arrived. One of the bedrooms was smelling badly of urine. We spent our first two days cleaning the whole property which isn't what we signed up for and paid for as our holiday.

Thanks for your positive feedback, we agree with you that our views of the lake & mountains around the cottage are stunning, we are pleased you were also happy with our well-equipped kitchen. It was a shame to hear you were not happy with the initial condition of the cottage, it was a big surprise to us as this has never happened before. If you had only got in touch, we could have done something about it straight away. We have since spoken to our dedicated housekeeper who did mention that you arrived a few hours early. In hindsight she should have not let you in and could have completed final checks a little more thoroughly. We have emailed over 10 days ago to understand in more detail your concerns but as yet you have not replied. This is why we delayed in the response to your feedback. We always want our guests to have a special time in our cottage which has been in the family for over 120 years. Property Owner
