  • "Fantastic property plenty room and well laid out, nicely secluded with it own land to walk the dogs and no traffic."

. we love the fact you can have a private relaxing holiday with open fires if you wish and only 10mins from local town to get provisions... if you like the countryside there is plenty to see and do... we've been twice and will hopefully be back

  • "Overall, we loved the location, space and facilities of this property."

It had everything that most people would need in a wonderfully secluded position. It was also ideally located for discovering Northwest Ireland. We had a fab week visiting the Donegal, Sligo and Enniskillen areas. We even managed a day trip to Galway. We would highly recommend this property.

  • "Lovely place."

Liked the old dog coming up to greet us. Need a bigger TV and lay out of family room , Patio door needs some oil on the runners as its hard to open. Brilliant stay would definitely go back.

  • "We loved our stay at this lovely cottage."

Tucked away into the hillside, surrounded by woodland, you wouldn’t know this house was even there from the road below. Total privacy and peace, the only sounds we heard were the birds singing and the nearby farm’s cows mooing! Our dogs loved having the freedom to mooch about the property after a day out. The house is cosy and has everything you could ever need for a self catering stay. The location is wonderful - peaceful enough for relaxation and privacy, but amenities in the nearby town and even a pub within walking distance! We enjoyed lots of countryside walks in forests, lakes and woodlands. So many parks and trails within half an hour. Lots of leaflets and brochures for things to do etc in the house. Only tiny suggestion is that the beds/mattresses aren’t the most comfortable. We didn’t have terrible sleeps but we did wake up a little stiff. Other than that, the house was wonderful and we will absolutely recommend to others and return for another holiday there. Thank you for sharing your lovely accommodation.

  • "We had a great stay for the week here, we were blessed with the weather that week too so it made sitting out in the front a delight throughout the day/night."

Located in a very quiet location, but if you have car most places are located near enough. Guladoo lakes were gorgeous - 15mins drive, carrick on Shannon-30mins drive and local towns like mohill/caragallin and arvagh near enough too. Great pub at bottom of the road called the dugout bar we would recommend too. Only con I found was our dog is still a pup so the surroundings we found weren't particularly safe, she went missing in the forest for over half an hour!! Although that's no fault of cnoc suain I would recommend people who are bringing pets to make sure they are adult dogs or are trained to know not to run away from you!! Otherwise it's a great big space for them to enjoy and explore.. would recommend here for a nice relaxing, quiet time.

It is very well equipped and has loads of room for a large family etc .The beds are so comfortable and the open fire is so cosy in the evenings . Carrigallen a few miles away has a place called the Kilbracken Arms in which the food and service is AMAZING. All in all a great safe location for dogs and a great location to travel around from . We will definitely be back !
