"The home was lovely and a nice location for our needs."
Upon arrival, there were dead flies all over the house that we had to sweep up, but other than that the home was very clean. The beds could definitely use replacing, they were not the most comfortable, but we survived for the short trip. The scenery and location of the home were refreshing and peaceful. I would suggest the sellers get a book together for guests (especially Americans) on how to adjust the shower temperature and radiators. We either took a shower that was freezing cold or it felt like we were showering in a tea kettle. I have never been so warm in Ireland. Very cute home, just needs a few tweeks.
thankyou for your feed back.i had a new shower installed andi will be getting new beds as soon as possible. Property Owner

"Cottage smelt damp and musty - bathroom not very clean - my husband had to clear a tennis ball sized ball of hair out of the shower drain to stop the entire bathroom being flooded everytime anyone had a shower."
The nik-naks everywhere must make cleaning difficult - hence the dust. Sofas and beds were uncomfortable, other people's left behind food still in the cupboards. Outdoor furniture was also broken. Just generally not a nice place to spend any time.

generally unhappy with this cottage It was very dirty/ sofa extremely uncomfortable beds were very uncomfortable Towels were like sandpaper There was endless tat everywhere/ every cupboard in the kitchen filled with other peoples leftovers much out of date Bin in kitchen smelly and full of mould Damp and mould throughout property Blinds do meet child safety requirements No opening window in downstairs bedroom/condesation running down inside of windows But most importantly and we are very unhappy about this the owner was spying on us as she told us in a text on the outside cctv and i am sure this is illegal and at the very least there should be signs to say that you are being watched Very unpleasurable experience
how odd. Anyone reading the last guests review might think you were in a different property! Property Owner

"The cottage was very quaint and clean and had a very peaceful vibe."
With all of the extra amenities (games and movies), I can see where it would be ideal for a family. My friend and I enjoyed greeting the cows each morning and enjoying the birds at the feeder. The bedroom skylights could use some curtains since it was so bright in the mornings. We hung blankets to block the light.
Thankyou .i have ordered blinds and will install as soon as i can. Property Owner

"Great location: quite, peaceful and cosy."
.. Congrats!!!! The only thing which should be improved is the wi-fi... It doesn't work properly and when it runs it doesn't provide access to internet. For the rest... I can only tell you that I know I have a new home in Ireland if I ever come back...
Internet in rural areas is very hit and miss but it does work i need to put up a trouble shooting sign i think.thanks Property Owner

"Very nice cottage, but some features need to be updated."
For example, the tap in the shower is only on or off, one cannot adjust the temperature. Bedrooms upstairs need curtains. Internet works with hickups. Other than that, the cottage is very clean, kitchen utilities are good and the location is very nice.
Thankyou.new tap installed. Property Owner

"We had a brilliant time in lynchpin cottage."
The cottage was immaculate and the attention to detail was fantastic. We will definitely return.

"Beautifully presented and well appointed, Lynchpin cottage made the perfect base for my wife and I to explore the western areas of Ireland."
The cottage was very clean and tidy with all the necessary mod cons required - and some more besides. We didn't intend to do a lot of cooking other than the basics, but the kitchen had a large range of utensils and equipment to keep budding Gordon Ramsey's happy in creating more comprehensive meals ! Lynchpin made for a peaceful holiday home and quiet haven to return to after a day's adventures, a place to eat, drink and relax in front of the wood burning stove. In our week long holiday we managed to visit Galway, Cliffs of Moher, Spanish Point, Tarbert, Limerick, Tralee and Tipperary - all being within a reasonable driving distance and taking @1.5 hours duration at most on good roads and mostly light traffic. We used Cork airport as our means of entry/exit, which is @50 miles and just over an hour's drive away. The web booking process was all straightforward, quick and easy to navigate making for a pleasant experience from the start. All in all, a very happy stay and enjoyable holiday. Ireland and the people are lovely and on the strength of this experience, I believe we'll be making a return.
