"This is a basic but clean and comfortable property."
It has everything you need for a home from home stay. The location is out of this world. Very understated in the description. It's a truly beautiful spot for those who like tranquility and nature and of course the sea.

"This is a lovely, wonderfully equipped cottage with magnificent views in a spectacular part of Ireland."
Clean, tranquil, comfortable and we will definitely stay there again. Only thing that would have been helpful is some instructions on how the heating, hot water worked (unless we were being stupid and didn't find them!!). First time in Ireland so didn't understand the sink/bath switch to begin with! Definitely recommend 100%
Thank you very much for lovely review, much appreciated Property Owner

Local evening venues not all available during my week especially the one most near the cottage. Small point, no mirrors by plug sockets for hair dryers etc. kitchen needed some baking trays. However all superb and will return,

"This is our second time to stay in Achill View and we cannot fault it."
Such a beautiful house in a lovely secluded part of the west coast. The house was so comfortable and a perfect home from home. The owners are very thoughtful in the preparation and presentation of the house. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

"Better than expected…and I’m an optimist!"
Spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom property with wonderful all round views…mountains to the front and the sea to the rear. We sat and ate and drank at the table in the rear garden every evening during our stay…we reasoned we couldn’t be anywhere nicer. You can’t beat this area for walking, cycling, running, mountains, beaches…and so the list goes on…There is Campbell’s bar a short walk away…great for Guinness and some craic. I will definitely be back.

The views are just incredible, the locals friendly and helpful and the atmosphere serene , relaxing and breath taking.

"This is a simple modern cottage on an outstanding site overlooking sea, hills and mountains."
It is well equipped and there are thoughtful touches such as a supply of essential items, spare batteries etc. There is a large enclosed area around the cottage which is safe for dogs. The beds are comfortable and there are good supplies of blankets and linen. Thoroughly recommended for anyone looking for a very remote rural location.

"Brilliant place to stay for beach holiday with children, walking holiday, cycling holiday or water sports holiday."
Superb garden for children and dogs, safely enclosed. Warm, spotless, cosy cottage, comfortable beds. Great views over Achill Sound, many islands and boats coming and going. Achill Island is not far away and great to explore. Very friendly locals.

"This is a gem of a cottage which has fantastic views."
Everything was as the description, in fact it was even better than expected. Easy reach of Achill Island and surrounding areas. Lovely touch with the welcome box with essentials, lovely to have the packet of Snack biscuits with a cup of tea on arrival. Will definitely consider returning to this property

"What can I say?"
This home was everything and more, where to start! The location is just beautiful, very quiet and tranquil and off the beaten track - you will need access to a car to stay here. The house it set back from the road with a huge front garden and plenty of parking but the back is the star. The view is just incredible, we were completely taken aback by it and how beautiful it was. There is total privacy, although you do have neighbours you would hardly know they are there. The house itself was wonderful, big enough for our family of 4 to have space from each other but cosy and homely. The owners have thought of everything you might need, radio, cable tv, a welcome pack of food and other essentials, a working fireplace!!, plenty of laundry, a washing machine and tumble dryer if you need them as well as a washing line. It was just heaven and of course the area of Achill Island, Achill Sound and Mayo itself is a feast for the eyes with the loveliest, friendliest people. We have already booked to go back next year and we cannot wait. Thank you for a lovely stay. It was just perfect.

"Loved the accommodation."
It was easy to find, extremely clean, warm, and welcoming. The host had left lovely little touches around the house, from a bottle of water in the fridge, to a little box of supplies should we have forgotten our own. Supplies included teabags, sugar, shampoo, conditioner etc...a packet of very welcome chocolate biscuit bars... and BEST OF ALL!!, turf and firelighters set up in the fireplace for a ready-to-go fire, all we needed was a match to light it...and of course there was a box of matches waiting on the mantlepiece! The beds were so clean and comfortable, we slept so well, the cushions and extra blankets, warm soft fleece were just fantastic. Loved the kitchenware, and kids toys. They thought of everything. It was just so cosy and nurturing to stay here. The level of cleanliness is amazing and the views are stunning. We wanted somewhere between Achill and Westport, so the location for us was perfect. Thank you so much for your lovely home from home, we had a wonderful time.

"Lovely place to get away."
Saw the milky way. Great scenic location. Will be even better when the local bar nearby is open.

"The holiday home was in a stunning location with views of achill island , clew bay and Atlantic Ocean ."
It was very clean and had all amenities you could require. There was a beautiful beach 5-10 minutes walk away . The people were very friendly . We spent two days exploring achill, taking the wild altantic way drive to spending time on keel and Keem beaches , we played pitch and put in the valley in achill , stopped at teds. The holiday home location was ideal for this. We traveled north to Ballycroy national park which took us on a drive of stunning scenery , the park itself was beautifully but could not recommend the coffee shop, we visited and climbed croagh Patrick , visited louisburg , these were all 45 to 60 minutes away but was worth the visit

"Electrical appliances in kitchen with bare wires showing on counters."
Tired property needing up grading

"Absolutely amazing views!"
We were slightly disappointed in the "beach" area. It was not as close as we had hoped nor was it as beachy as the pictures on the internet make it seem. With that said, that is the only thing that was a disappointment!
-
"The comfort of the double bed in the main bedroom was the only thing that fell short of perfection."
A lovely, well cared for cottage in an idyllic location.
