  • "Absolutely wonderful stay at this comfortable, well maintained property."

Had everything we needed as a family of 4, plenty of space for 2 adults & 2 teenage girls. We were able to get to everywhere we wanted to go. Declan and Laura are lovely and we really appreciated the soda bread, butter, jam, coffee, tea & milk to get us started, the eggs brought later in the week were great too. Communication prior to arrival was excellent & it was nice that Declan & Laura came & introduced themselves & were on hand if needed. I highly recommend this cottage for a relaxing stay, you can do as much or as little as you want. Thanks for a great stay!

The property is clean, comfortable and has all the basics you need. We stayed in February, two adults and became skilled in the making up of the fire in the stove. The property is ideally placed for Ballinrobe, Westport and exploring the Atlantic coastline. There is an excellent bar/ restaurant in Ballintubber a short distance from the property.

  • "We arrived on Sunday afternoon and were greeted by Declan & Laura who live next door."

They showed us around their lovely cottage. A beautifully decorated and laid out cottage. 3 bedrooms (2D & 1S) kitchen, living/dining room, sitting room, bathroom & toilet room. Al the expected facilities and more were present. Lots of lovely little homely touches -homemade brown bread, shower gel & some tea bags coffee & milk to get started. About 6/7 mins south of Castlebar we used the cottage to see Cong, Westport House, Achil Island, a boat tour of Clew Bay and Croagh Patrick. They even supplied a few folders of tourist info to browse which was a lovely thought. Overall a really enjoyable stay in Mayo and a lovely property to rent. Declan and Laura have obviously put a lot of thought and effort into how they are presenting the cottage and it shows. Thanks a million for our lovely week in your cottage. Darren & Janice.
