  • "The cottage was amazing, very spacious and we liked that each bedroom had access to its own bathroom."

Beds were very comfortable and we had plenty of towels. The views from the living area upstairs were stunning. Definitely would book again.

  • "We loved No."

12, the view was to die for, a wonderful situation. There was everything there we needed, and it was extremely comfortable. The tv reception was a bit hit and miss but not that important. Lots of little extras being left was very helpful. Being next to the hotel was great too. We were pretty fortunate with the weather and we had some excellent meals at Dohertys. We did find the duvet rather too heavy and were too warm, but that’s just a personal thing! Thanks!

House was very clean. Great views from the window over Clew Bay.

  • "The downstairs smelled of damp, more than likely coming from the downstairs bathroom."

Not pleasant. Some of the table lights didn’t work, no toilet rolls were provided and there were no batteries in the remote control for the video player. Not big issues but annoying after a long journey nonetheless. On the whole the place was spotless so no problems there. We were surprised there was no WiFi but that was our mistake in not noticing when we booked. It should be made very clear in the property details that no WiFi is available as everyone expects it these days.

  • "Nice clean property, set in a quiet location good location for basing yourself."

No outside space for children, seating area for adults but hedges attract midgies so unusable. Good takeaway in village 2 pubs for eating in. McLoughlins apparently need reservations but dont advertise, female in charge extremely rude.

Dear Guest Thank you for your feedback which is most helpful. The midges can be a problem at this time of the year. The green area in the centre of the holiday village can be used by children. Thanks again and I trust that you had an enjoyable holiday. Property Owner

  • "The house was just fantastic and well equipped with everything we needed for the week."

From booking to arrival at the house we were well informed with updates and directions- we have stayed in many self catering houses and number 12 by far was our favourite and we will definitely return next year. The location is ideal for families with lots to do locally and the weather was lovely which was an added bonus!! Thanks to Lily who met us on arrival and gave us lots of tips

  • "This holiday home was clean, warm, inviting and spacious."

The bed linen was crisp and clean and the towels were fluffy and fresh! The upstairs kitchen/living area is superb with glorious views east and south, perfect for watching the world go by! The tv, fridge, m/w and oven hob were in very good condition and were perfect for our holiday needs. The dryer part of the washing machine does not seem to work however. With the upturn in the weather, this did not prove an issue for us on this occasion but an operational dryer is a must for a large outdoorsy family in a house on the west coast! The location of the house is absolutely spot-on, as it is tucked in beside the local 4 star hotel, but a moments amble away and is just a 5 minute walk to the local shop and pubs and a 3 minute drive to the nearest Blue Flag beach. Newport, Westport, Croagh Patrick, Achill and Ballycroy were all within easy reach of the house ensuring we had lots to see and do on dry fine days and also on more misty days! We really enjoyed our stay at #12 and greatly look forward to visiting again, possibly later this year if at all possible and definitely next summer!

  • "Location is amazing."

Mulranny is picture perfect. House was a little tired looking. Plaster cracked in places and dirty marks on walls. Could have been cleaner. First look everything seemed fine but as time went on found windows were filthy inside and out and bit of dusting required to remove webbs at stairs ceilings and corners. Microwave was broken but all other facilities in working order.
