  • "A beautiful little cottage with stunning views of croagh Patrick."

We had a fantastic stay and enjoyed the quirkiness of the interior. There was everything we needed and more. My 4 year old loved the fancy dress costumes. Max the dog was also a big hit! Would definitely recommend staying here.

It is extremely cosy and comfortable and has lots of little knick knacks and quirky corners and some great books and games to keep you entertained, especially if the weather is not so wonderful. The property

Westport 6.6 miles.

Situated in the village of Liscarney along the popular tourist destination of the Wild Atlantic Way, a famous stretch that connects Clifton to the bustling town of Westport in County Mayo, rests the fabulous, three-bedroom holiday home of Old Mike's Cottage.

Boasting a charming, rustic exterior set within pristine countryside with views outlooking onto the tranquil waters of Lough Moher, this lovely dwelling welcomes a family or group of six for a refreshing, self-catered escape in beautiful, rural Ireland.

Park up off-road at front of your wonderful new lodgings, enter through the green, traditional farmhouse door and be greeted by a well-appointed, open-plan living space, which preserves historic charm through the presence of exposed wooden beams, slate flooring, and a quaint, inglenook stove that warms a delightful 'cailleach', a bedside tucked by the fireplace typically reserved for the elders of the family in times gone by.

A well-equipped kitchen awaits the chosen chef, whilst meals can be savoured around the dining table, before you settle on the sofas to plan the rest of your getaway.

When sleep calls, refresh with a bath or shower before you tuck yourselves in for a well-needed rest in one of the three inviting bedrooms.

If you can tear yourself from your peaceful base, set out to explore your new surroundings.

A brief car trip will take you to your nearest convenience store, as well as your nearest pub, Darby's Bar, in nearby Cushlough.

For a day out, make the short car journey north to Westport, which rests on an Atlantic inlet, and houses a Georgian town centre featuring attractions such as the Colonel's Woods national forest, the Westport House, and the Westport Sea Safari.

All of this and more is yours to enjoy when you book a stay at Old Mike's Cottage.
