"Trisha was very helpful."
The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The location is so convenient with the lake literally on the doorstep, lots of local amenities and Athlone town just 15 minutes drive away. The wife and kids loved it and we would definitely come back again.

"My brother and I had a wonderful stay."
Lovely quiet spot. Great area. Very friendly owners. Helped us with getting to the shop and even when our rented bicycles turned out to not have locks! Thanks!

"When we arrived we were greeted by the owner Trisha, she was very friendly and showed us around and told us how to work heating etc."
There was milk, tea, coffee a bottle of wine and a cake left for us. The accommodation was spotless, tastefully decorated with top quality ornaments and paintings. If we needed anything Trisha was only on the other end of the phone. We had my 95 year old mother with us and the bathroom with the additional railings made it easier for her to get around. I would highly recommend this accommodation so much so we are looking at booking again next year.

"Myself and my partner stayed here late January 2022."
All the communications were fantastic from the start. The family who own the property were so lovely and helpful. We rented a small boat for a few days which was great fun. We’d love to come back in the summer but I have to say you’ll have a great time anytime of year.

"We (2 adults, two teenagers and one child) stayed in Port Heron Lodge from Sunday 2nd to Wednesday 5th January 2022."
We were instantly bowled over by the really gorgeous, unique log cabin and by the welcome we received from our host Trisha. Trisha had gone to so much trouble prior to our arrival - it was beautifully prepared with Christmas decorations and lights inside and out; heating turned on and lovely and very kind touches of milk, bread, cake and wine left for us along with tea, coffee and sugar. A lovely start to our holiday! Trisha continued to check in with us by text every day to see if all was okay or if we needed anything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this most beautiful lodge and in the tranquil surroundings of Lough Ree. So lovely to wake up to the beautiful view of the lake and the ducks! It was so peaceful at night and was the perfect wind-down place to stay after Christmas or we are sure at any time. All want to go back again! We could not rate the lodge, the reception, the care and kindness of and from the host highly enough. Thank you very much Trisha! Jacqueline
