  • "We have just spent a week staying at Freemans Cottage."

    Was the most beautiful and cosy cottage. We could not have wanted a more beautiful place to stay! The Cottage was clean, comfy and warm. As for the location.. the views were stunning ! Lots of room for the children to play outdoors and just a few mins drive to the most amazing beach and golf course! We highly recommend this place ! Our third time to Innishcrone and first time staying at Freemans, we will definitely be staying here again next time we visit! Xx

  • "We had a very pleasant stay for 4 nights in a beautifully restored modern cottage ."

    The cottage was in a quiet location with a sea view from the kitchen window and had everything required for a comfortable stay and within close proximity of both the village and beach. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting a peaceful time. Ted and Shirley

Easkey village is approximately 5.5miles in opposite direction.

Freemans Cottage is a traditional detached thatched cottage located on the outskirts of Enniscrone , Co Sligo.

The cottage is on the Wild Atlantic Way drive.

With ground floor living, the cottage is steeped in history and this is reflected in its furnishing style and decor inside.

The cottage has WiFi throughout but otherwise is in keeping with the traditional style of an old traditional Irish home .

The kitchen has stunning views of Killala bay and on a clear evening the sunsets are a sight to behold.

The cottage is an ideal base for friends and/or family to explore what the beautiful north Mayo and Sligo coastline has to offer .

Step inside the cottage into well equipped kitchen area and here you can cook some delicious meals and enjoy as you sit looking out at the lovely views of the nearby farm and Killala bay .

After dinner, you can relax in the adjoining sitting room and share stories of the day's adventures in the warm relaxing ambiance full of character and history.

As the day draws to a close, retreat to the two bedrooms; a plush cosy double bedroom with comfortable mattress and pillows and a smart TV where you can access Netflix/ Amazon Prime/ RTE player ( note there is no access to main channels on these TVs) Second bedroom has twin authentic wrought iron beds with comfy mattresses , pillows and duvets and a smart TV.

Both rooms have blackout blinds and provide quiet calm ambiance so that you can have a good restful sleep.

The cottage has one good sized toilet/ shower room off the main kitchen area with walk in electric shower where you can freshen up for the day ahead.

For added convenience, you will find a utility room equipped with all the essentials such as an independent freezer and washing machine and a separate sink.

When it comes to dining out, there are many local restaurants and hotels in Enniscrone to choose from .

The Pilot Bar is renowned in the area for its delicious casual tasty menu.

There is also Áit Éile beside Gilroy’s bar, Surfs Up, La Piazzetta, ( pizza place) , Spicy Affair (bring your own bottle; corkage fee applies).

The Waterfront Hotel , Ocean Sands and Diamond Coast hotels in and around Enniscrone also offer wide variety of casual and a la carté menus.

Explore the charming village of Enniscrone where you can practice your golf skills at the Pitch and Putt in the centre of the village or book in to the renowned Enniscrone Golf Links for the more serious players.

Enniscrone beach is arguably one of the best beaches in Ireland and stretches for 5kms.

It is a blue flag beach and has lifeguards controlling it during summer time.

There are numerous coffee docks where you can get delicious coffee/drinks/snacks while you enjoy you time by the sea, whether it be walking or just sitting enjoying the beautiful waves of Enniscrone.

Off Shore cafe is located by the beach walk .

There are other coffee docks by the pier and cliff walks which are a fabulous way to spend and hour or 2.

The famous SeaWeed Baths of Enniscrone should also be experienced for their health benefits.

The awesome "DownPatrick Head" and fabulous north Mayo coastline is approximately 40 minute drive from the cottage.

Ballina town is approximately 20 minutes away.

Here you will find a selection of shops, bars and cafes.

Also indoor swimming pool and IMC cinema.

Sligo is approximately 45 minutes drive along the Wild Atlantic Way in the opposite direction to Ballina which has a multitude to offer for a day trip.
